  1. Hey Bill, NO, the coil is not waterproof, just water resistant. Great little coil for the Eureka, great seller right now for all the guys that have been waiting for more coil choices on the Eureka Gold.
  2. Hello All, If anyone has or knows of a Gold King 2.5 inch DPC Dredge for sale, let me know. Thanks! Rob Allison
  3. Hello All, Anyone have a 4-inch dredge nozzle they are wanting to part with for a decent price? If not, where is the best place to find one, Keene? I need the nozzle where the pressure hose is also attached to it so I can dredge in shallow water. Any help would be appreciated. Rob Allison
  4. Hello All, This morning I decided to make a run back out to where a discovered a new, but small nugget patch. I wanted to focus on some other areas up further where the mineralization looked promising. Once I hiked into this spot, I noticed a series of small (1-3 inch) rotten iron veins running in a NW - SE direction. The patch down lower where I scored about a dozen smaller nuggets was below these veins. Searching in and out of some smaller drainages I noticed some spotty handstacking in one drainage. I focused most of my time working this area, but it was loaded with iron rubbish (square nails, wire, tin and such). There wasn't in my opinion enough old workings to warrant this amount of trash, so I eventually found several prospect up further and an old campsite. Over the years majority of this dump was eroding down into the wash, making it very difficult to metal detect today. As much as I hate digging tons of garbage, I stuck with it for a few hours and ended up scoring 3 small iron/gold specimens. This might be a decent drywash location and once the bedrock is clear of garbage, it could be metal detected. Here are some pictures from today - It's out there .....
  5. Hey Frank, I agree with you. The original Minelab 6-inch DD was very popular back in the day, then Minelab discontinued the searchcoil. I think this new coil will work great on the Minelab Eureka Gold metal detector. I have added a few pictures on the original post and the coil is now available for sale through our online store. I personally found one of my first biggest nuggets with a early Minelab VLF using the Minelab 6-inch DD Round in the Bradshaw mountains. Rob Allison

  12. Hey Deathray, Yes, I ended up moving the forums to one of Invision Boards servers, the ones that maintain and build these forums. The previous hosting server wasn't doing what they promised to maintain the updated software for the forums. It's now running like it should. Glad to have you back. Hope to see you posting soon. 13. Hey Chris, Great looking nuggets and specimens. I'm sure this will pump up some members to join the WSPA. Sounds like you have some guys in the club now that are motivated and getting some good claims. Rob Allison
  14. Hey Tom, I have heard that also. I try, even in the Summer seasons to wear a long sleeved shirt, baseball cap, neck cover, snake gaitors and gloves. At times it freaking hot wearing this stuff, but it's more for overall protection from the bugs and UVA & UVB rays. I've always had them damn Mosquitoes bite me on the neck, hands or arms, so as long as I can keep those spots covered I'm pretty good. However, around the campfire at night, most aren't wearing all this crap and this is normally when you will get bitten to hell and back. Just my thoughts, Rob Allison
  15. Hey Patrick, Most guys hunting for nuggets are using the mid-sized ellipticals. The most popular seller is the 14x9 elliptical Mono. Coiltek make two of them, one is a normal Mono, the other is the Blitz with Litz wire and is super sensitive. Nuggetfinder also makes two version of the same coil, one is a solid and the other is a open-webbed design. Minelab makes a 15x12 Mono solid that is much heavier, but many like it working high grass and areas where the coil weight helps to get the coil closer to the ground. Here are some prices, I'm offering free shipping and have all in stock - Coiltek Goldstalker 14x9 Mono - $350.00 Coiltek Goldstalker 14x9 Mono "Blitz" - $442.50 Nuggetfinder 14x9 Mono (solid or open) - $439.00 Minelab 15x12 Commander Mono Solid - $366.00 You can't go wrong with any of these coils listed above for a mid-sized prospecting coil that will work find on your Minelab SD2200. Hope this helps, Rob Allison
  16. Hello All, A friend sent this over to me, thought you might want to check it out and see what you think? Do you think it's the real deal or just some snake oil? Here is the link - http://io9.com/this-tiny-wearable-patch-makes-you-invisible-to-mosqui-894656159 Rob Allison
  17. Hey Uncle Ron and all, I finally managed to weigh those nuggets. The biggest one is 3.8 Grams, all four small ones together are 2.1 Grams. Not a bad, short hunt at 5.9 Grams.
  18. Hey Shep, Happy Birthday! I normally don't watch the Birthday's too well, but just happen to glance over and see it was yours. Wishing you many nuggets, health and wellness! Rob Allison
  19. Hey NV Chris, Ray Mills & the WSPA Club, It was a pleasure to be able to support the WSPA (Western States Prospecting Assoc.) and also be able to help the Prescott Hot Shots. Hope with the our donation many members got to take something home from the outing even if they didn't get lucky enough to find some color. Congrats to Mrs. Lucky Joe on winning a new Minelab Pro-Find 25 Pinpointer from us at Rob's Detector Sales. Wishing the club and members the best of success! Rob Allison
  20. Hey Nuggetslayer, Don't tell Lucky!! Great find and Thanks for sharing your Youtube videos. Hope to see more soon. Rob Allison
  21. Hey Guys, I have heard about the dryer sheets. A matter of fact, a friend of mine that does a lot of fishing mentioned to whip down with a dryer sheet. I will give it a try and see if it helps. I hate to wear a net as it screws with your vision when hiking. I spent enough time with a net in Alaska. Hey guys, finding gold is not easy. I just happen to know a lot of places to look from all the years I have done it. Hundreds of spots I can always return to after the big storms and normally I can get a few pieces. There are a handful of spots I haven't revisted due to them being much more remote and require some hiking. However, I'm hoping once I do return there will be a few easy ones and maybe a bit bigger in size. Wishing you all a tons of success. Rob Allison
  22. Hey David, Great looking pieces. Hope you can find out all the info on them if you decide to sell.

  24. Hey Uncle Ron, I didn't get any pictures of them jammed in the bedrock, but should of. I had the camera back at the truck, too lazy to walk back in get it. The gnats were bad, one reason I didn't stick around longer. I didn't have any bug spray with me and they were biting my ears, face and arms. I didn't weigh them yet, but will do it and post back. Rob Allison
