Admin nuggethunting Posted February 8, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted February 8, 2015 Hello All, This weekend my partner and I conducted field instructions with 5 customers. Several of the customers purchased SDC's from us, a few others had their own metal detectors and wanted training on them. The customer were shocked when my cousin, Chris Gholson of Arizona Outback showed up to greet them. Chris came out this weekend to play around and help with some of the customers. It was a great outing, I think everyone walked away happy and most with a few nuggets to boot. With most detector purchases from us, we include free field training. We also do a all day training with any customer that has a gold hunting metal detector (VLF or PI) on private claims for $300. You keep everything you find and get to hunt all day on good gold bearing claims. Thanks for your help Chris. We all had a great time and most of us found a bit of gold to take home. ahorton10
Did talon get his atx over one?
Admin nuggethunting Posted February 9, 2015 Author Admin Report Share Posted February 9, 2015 Hey Adam, Yes, Talon got two gold nuggets from the outing. He struggled a bit out of the gate on faint, or very small targets. I spotted a few potential targets with the SDC, he checked them out, realized that is what he needed to listen for and found them. Talon will become a very good nuggetshooter as he is very determined to be successful.

cobill
Rob, thanks for the fantastic field training and what an honor to have both you and Chris there...lots of tips and instruction. Field training is critical to being successful in nugget hunting. The biggest 2 nuggets were found by Chris Gholson! My new SDC found a .4 gram nugget in a pounded area. I'm impressed by it's performance. Rob, I'll be buying the new GPZ-7000 soon.Bill

Admin nuggethunting Posted February 15, 2015 Author Admin Report Share Posted February 15, 2015 Hey Guys, Thanks for the comments. The new SDC 2300 is amazing, no question. I just took mine back to a wash that Chris and I found about 15 years ago. We pounded the hell out of it, but found nearly 500 nuggets ranging from a few grains to multi-pennyweights. It was a true bonanza for small gold when we first hit it. We returned for months on end plucking small nuggets from the cracks and crevices. That being said, we probably both returned each year hitting it again and again to some point figuring it was dead for currently technology. I even had a friend that was a GB2 expert hit it after we did, he found about 20 very small ones, most under a grain in size that we missed. I returned yesterday to the wash with the SDC 2300. Within about 4 hours of slowing hunting, we picked up nearly 10 nuggets that were missed. Nothing real impressive, but we didn't have the help of any new water movement and there was fresh digs in the wash, maybe from Chris or someone with a SDC. Co-Bill - Ya, heard you're selling the GPX 5000 and combo to a guy on the forum. I will have a GPZ 7000 when you're ready, but you might be shocked on the price. cobill
Rob, will ML be honoring their military 15% discount on the new GPZ-7000? Sounds like we're going to need it to afford the new toy!Bill
Admin nuggethunting Posted February 16, 2015 Author Admin Report Share Posted February 16, 2015 Hey Bill, I'm guessing yes, but haven't heard anymore on it yet. I have an email out as we speak. Give me a call and I will let you know what I find out within the next day or so.

Admin nuggethunting Posted February 17, 2015 Author Admin Report Share Posted February 17, 2015 Hey Guys, The Military Discount will apply to this detector. Give me a call if you're interested. 15% off of 10K is $1500 bucks!
gubelube
I think he will have to have some field training before he can give any lol. its like all of a sudden a new detector is here, bam, here it comes rt after and no time to prepare. I think they should have let the main dealer test and use them to back up what they are selling. I know minlab hasn't really let anyone down and im sure this new technology will produce even better ones soon. this is just the bait to see if people will bite at this price. next one will be $13k easy retail $15k. I honestly don't think its gonna be any better than the 5000 except bigger gold at depths. I think any gold out there can be had with some scrapes and slow beepin.john
Admin nuggethunting Posted February 22, 2015 Author Admin Report Share Posted February 22, 2015 Hey John, Going to be interesting to say the least. Minelab claims it has sensitivity like the SDC 2300, depth better than the GPZ 7000, can work on more mineralized ground and potentially quieter on EMI. We will see. That being said, a partner and I trained 4 more Minelab customers this weekend that purchased from us. All of them found at least one nugget to take home from training. Thanks you all for your business!!
