Old Tom
I have a problem with my GB Pro and I can't figure it out. The problem manifested itself once before but I don't remember just how it was remedied (age does this). Seems that when I push the RCA jack from the ear phones all the way in the detector slot the sound cuts out. If I pull the jack out one notch the detector wotks perfectly. I checked the wireing inside and all is intact. It's not the ear phones acting up as I swapped them out with my sons set and the problen persists. I'd like to hear if anyone else has had this problem and if there is anything that I can do to solve it. Old Tom
bseastrom
Dad has a Pro but I haven't been around it for a while. However, it seems to me that he bumped the mono/stereo toggle, and then told me it wasn,t working. Just a thought. Maybe this would account for it working when it's only half way in? Admin nuggethunting Posted June 10, 2012 Admin Report Share Posted June 10, 2012 Hey Tom, Sure sounds like a Mono/Stereo issue with the headphones or headphone jack. The different rings on the headphone jack determine if the headphones are Mono or Stereo or both. Hope this helps a bit,Rob Allison
fredm
tom if you have old style mono phones your jack is not making the correct contact...if they are monos buy a mono to stero adaptor at r-shack...sometimes there is excess plastic on the rim of the jack that can keep your jack from seating properly...sometimes it is a problem with internal wiring of the detector...fred
