Admin nuggethunting Posted October 4, 2012 Admin Report Share Posted October 4, 2012 Hello All, Seen this video on Youtube when I was scanning for metal detecting for nuggets. The detector and blanket coil might work well even though I don't know anyone using one, but one thing I noticed and curious if you pick it up. Watch the video and see if you pick up what I see (hint - about the gold)? Take care,Rob Allison

notoriouskelly
My first trip to Lynx Creek a guy showed me vial of his finds from the water. It was that hammered gold like you get for prizes
tundra
Excuse me!!Say the word Acruate Locators and I'm slamming the doorseems to me they have some pretty sticky detectors.looks like that gold came from the cleaners, was alljust below the surface it seems.Rodd
DolanDave
Hi Rob,I believe one of the sales reps are out of Las Vegas. I have seen 1 ATV towing one of these in Gold Basin once. I can only imagine they dont work to well, or everyone would be using them. Good idea though. The nuggets kind of all look like twins, nice and new.Dave. nvchris
Well, I have used the detector and the 18" blanket coil @ Rye Patch, loved the coil hated the detector. It could not handle the salt.Found no gold but did dig some deep trash.I suggested to Wayne ( Owner of Accurate Detectors) that he make the drag coils for ML detectors. What I use is a Mother Ship for a drag coil and a 25" NF for a shaft mount.Carbon Coils in Australia makes a 40" round for ML and Whites detectors. For us gold prospectors it just don't pay to use any thing less then Whites and ML PI'sMaybe Rod edited out the super spit shine || : °
JIM MCCULLOCH
I must be doing something wrong. Only about one nugget in a thousand that I've found comes out of desert soil looking like cleaned, highly polished stream bed ancient placer. Maybe his machine has an in-ground sonic cleaner which cleans and polishes the target before recovery? Too cool....
Admin nuggethunting Posted October 5, 2012 Author Admin Report Share Posted October 5, 2012 Hey Guys, I think you picked up the same thing I did, the bright and shiney gold!! Not tooting my own horn, but I have found thousands of nuggets and none of them looked that clean from the desert region. I think I would have spent more time paying attention to details if I done the video. I think most watch the video and see the first clean nugget and then "call BS" on the entire video. Just my thoughts ....Rob Allison
FlakMagnet
That sure seems to be a salted piece.I can't remember ever seeing a piece come out of the groundlooking that good, even after a quick clean-upIf it was found dredging, that would be a different story. And I agree Rob, it makes the rest of the video suspect. beepinpete_WA
Thats gotta be the biggest pile of BS i have ever seen.Maybe they can hook in partners with NOKTA hahahaha...Wonder if they do a long range gold detector too

Sean.C
They are based out of Gold Hill, Oregon. Alot of people up here seem to think they are the real deal but I'm not convinced. They put out this video a few months ago of them pulling a coil behind a jet ski to locate "mineral hot spots" and then claiming the gold dredged up was proof of it working. Bucket
On the blanket coil video It looked to me like the same exact nugget every single time, held at a different angle.
way2cool
"On the blanket coil video It looked to me like the same exact nugget every single time, held at a different angle." AuTSaurus
I thought it was the same nugget every time also!I'm also amazed that he can grow a century old(or older?) Saguaro in one video frame... from where he first got off the ATV,and then started digging...!Greg
New Beeper
Come on guys don't you know a sonic blanket super coil when you see one?
fredm
If NVCHRIS says the thing works I believe him...but whoever put that video together needs to get his story and his pictures in sync...still have my doubts about that nugget though...fred
nvchris
Good luck finding an area to use that setup …we all know how the BLM frowns on off off road travel. That said I was interested in using it for meteorite hunting on the dry lake beds. beepinpete_WA
Chris, did you use the blanket coil on a Pulse or a Vlf detector mate ?? curious to know.Pete
nvchris
Pete,The blanket coil only works with 4 German made PI's , Detech. is the name of the maker. Here is Accurate Locaters site for more info. http://accuratelocaters.com/pi_blanket.htmlRegardless of the Video, the detectors are used successfully world wide in a variety of applications.
