  1. Hello All, Just wanted to wish you a Happy 2021 New Year and say "Good Bye 2020." A lot has happened in 2020 from the Australia Bush Fires burned 47 million acres of land Covid 19 Pandemic causing over 750,000 deaths to date Tried to Impeach President Trump Stock Market Crash, Dow's worst day ever in March Black Lives Matter Protests over George Floyd Death Murder Hornets arrive in the US, killing entire bee colonies within hours Beirut Explosion killing at least 190 people and injuring thousands West Coast USA wildfires from California to Washington Ruth Bader Death, second Lady to be appointed to high court Alex Trebek died, famous for "Jeopardy!" Congress passes a 2.3 Trillion dollar relief bill for Covid and maybe a $600 check .... Well much more happened throughout the year, but those were some of the high points. Studies say that the World is at a all time high for Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, Suicide and much more. Our Nation needs more Prayer. Praying for a wonderful 2021 season for all and a few gold nuggets to boot. Rob
  2. Hey Guys, Thanks. Please don't ever forgot the Christmas message, Jesus Christ was born on Christmas Day! Remember the Greatest Commandments from Jesus - Rob
  3. Hello All, Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
  4. Hello All, Here is a short video I made. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
  5. Hey Bob, There are a handful of people I know, in the same era as you, that made that switch from a VLF to PI (SD 2000) at that time and cleaned house quickly on their old patches. I got one of Floyd Allen's (Frugal Floyd Allen) first Minelab SD 2000's when they were released. I still know what I paid for it, as I still have the invoice around here somewhere as a "keepsake." The price for the SD 2000 here in the US, or what I paid was $3750.00. I think it took every piggybank I owned, a couple of credit cards and a loan from my Aunt to make it happen. I know it's not true, but $3750.00 back in the early 90's was like $20,000 today for a metal detector. I really scratched, begged and pleaded to get one of the first units. Man, talk about a game changer and advanced technology! I turned on the SD 2000 the first time in the field and I thought it was broke ..... It was do dead quite, I couldn't get it to make a noise as I was used to the noisy VLF's going off on every rock, ground and such. I'm not going to discuss what I found with it, as I'm sure it's more than some, much less than others, but worth ever penny in my opinion. My biggest mistake was not getting on the first plan to Western Australia and staying a few years wondering the outback. I know back then, guys were found Kilo's of gold nuggets per day. Minelab has been the leader for the last 20 years on detector technology. Rob
  6. Hey Bob, Ya, it's amazing the power of water during flooding. I was in a similar situation, but it was on Humbug Creek back in the early 90's. It was actually during the Winter, so the creek was already running well, but there was a series of storms that rolled in for about a week straight and the Bradshaw's just got pounded. I think just about every River, creek and side trib was running. We were staying at a old mining Camp on Humbug, Columbia area. A good friend of mine, now passed, George Subers was the carekeeper of that property. That evening we were outside after the rain stopped and we could hear the crashing boulders going done the creek and we were about 300-400 yards up hill in the house. We went down to where the road crossed and headed up to Gold Hill and just watched in amazement as the water roared, ripping just about ever tree near the water line out and huge boulders crashing down creek. I agree, the best advice if you know there is a storm even nearby, get to higher ground if possible and don't park your vehicle (if possible) in the water course. Rob
  7. Way2cool, I agree, I think it was wedged in a bedrock crack. Some of those boogers don't want to come out easy. Rob
  8. Hey Guys, It's been awhile since I done a video, so here you go. I have a bunch more I need to upload, it just take time ..... The nugget actually weighted almost 4 Dwt's, just shy of 1/4 ounce. It was found with the Minelab GPZ 7000 metal detector.

  10. Great hunt for the start of December guys. Just goes to show, in the right spots there is plenty of gold nuggets still to be found. Rob
  11. Hey Guys, Very impressive gold. Wishing you both a ton of success down there. Yuma has always been a fun place to metal detect if you know where you go Thanks for sharing with us here, Rob
  12. Hey Bob, I had a claim at the junction of Indian Creek and Antelope, but we never got to dredge it. We had it for about 2-3 years, but never enough to really dredge the bottom. We ended up selling it and that same year we got a huge storm and the creek ran for about a month ..... Go figure! Rob
  13. Hello All, This weekend three customers (Grandfather, Father and Son) from California came over to get field instructions on their new metal detectors. They purchased the Minelab GPZ 7000 and Gold Monster 1000. We spent the entire day doing instructions, metal detecting for nuggets and a lot of hiking and exploring around. The weather and company was great! We were to get both detectors over a gold nuggets before the day ended. The GPZ 7000 found a nice 1-2 Grammer under an old tree that was growing out from the wash bottom and the Gold Monster 1000 nailed a smaller, probably 1 Gram piece in a bedrock crack. Right now before Christmas is the perfect time to purchase any of these two detectors. You not only get my free bundle package, but Minelab is offer the free $102 battery pack for the Gold Monster 1000 and the $1500 19" Searchcoil for the GPZ 7000. We would love you earn your business and get any of you up and searching for gold nuggets! P.S. Larry (Son), shown in the left on the first picture has two Youtube channels. 14. Hey Bob, Great write up about Glory Holes and Dikes. I have hit some good spots over the years, so I will call them Glory holes for me. I agree about the Dikes, I have found some pretty good gold in front of and in back of dikes. In wash bottoms, any rock structure that is more resistant to weather vs. the surrounding rock can be a good trap. I can remember years ago working a small gully in the Bradshaw Mountains where I found around 2 dozen small gold nuggets on the front side of a dike. The dike was only sticking up about 1/4 inch higher than the surrounding Schist bedrock, but just enough to hold heavys on the front side. The dike was running about a 30% angle across the wash. Hope to see some more articles and more about the Glory Holes. Rob
  15. Right on, beautiful specimens/nuggets. Thanks for sharing! What metal detector and any story behind them? Rob
  16. Hey Guys, Who would of thought this Covid would still be going on? It's been a crazy year for us, I'm sure for the entire World in general. That being said, we have to stay humbled during the Storm and it will pass. We I'm still getting out with a few friends probably one day per week average. Nothing real impressive to show, but here is a collection of stuff I rounded up over the last couple 2-3 weekends. Most of the nuggets are small, 1-3 Gram size with a few bigger ones up to 1/2 ounce. It's still out there, but getting tougher to find in the old areas, so I'm hoping to do some exploring in some new spots this season (been saying that for years). Wishing you all a great Holiday season with your family and friends. P.S. The total weight is 31.2 Dwts, which is just a shy over 1.5 Troy Ounces of Placer Gold Nuggets. God Bless, Rob
  17. Hey Doc, No question these work well. I have been selling Doc's products for a super long time, all of them have been great. This is the direct link to the product on our website - https://www.robsdetectors.com/docs-the-amazing-qweegle-double-adjustment-point-bungee/ Hope all is well. Rob
  18. Hey Fishing8046, Thanks for all the comments guys. The area is Western Arizona. It's an old dry river channel with some old high and dry ancient banks. Rob
  19. Hey Everyone, I'm listing three used, but in great condition searchcoils for a customer of mine. These coils can be used on a Minelab E-Trac, Explorer series or Safari. Picture is below. Customer is asking $200 for all of them (package deal). John - johnj.bohemian@gmail.com 18'' Detech Excelerator 15'' Coiltek WOT All Terrain 8'' Minelab Explorer
  20. Hello All, Recently a customer purchased a Minelab GPZ 7000 + 19" Searchcoil for $8465.00 shipped. The customer got into a financial jam and returned the unit to me. Since both boxes, the GPZ 7000 box and the 19" Searchcoil box have been opened, but not used, I can't sell this unit for new. The customer re-sealed the box with Brown tape as you can see in the pictures. The detector or coil has never been used, just removed from the box and looked at. I have enclosed pictures of both boxes, serial number of the GPZ so you can clearly see everything is in tact and never used. I'm asking $6800 Shipped. The insurance and shipping on both boxes is nearly $250 to fully insure and ship the large box sizes. I'm not looking to do any trades on this deal, it's strickly to sell to someone that understands the unit can't be sold for new, but still is considered new, as the unit hasn't been used, still full warranty and such. I'm sure this detector will not last long. The Winter season here in the Southwest is right around the corner with lows down in the 70's this week. Contact us ASAP is you're interested, the unit will not be around long at this price. Email - rob@robsdetectors.com or text message - 602.909.9008. In the evenings we can be reached at 623-362-1459 Rob
