  1. Hello All, I'm looking to sell a few ounces of very clean Arizona placer gold nuggets. All the stuff for sale will range from about 1/2 gram up to 3-4 grams in weight. All the nuggets were personally found by myself using a metal detector. I'm asking just spot price on this beautiful Arizona gold. I know at this price, including shipping & Insurance to you, it won't last long. First person that contacts can have it all. I'm looking to sell no less than 1/4 ounce batches, so I'm not looking to sell individual pieces, just batches of 1/4 ounce or larger. Contact me via email - rob@robsdetectors.com or text message at - 602-909-9008. You can also reply back on the forums or PM me, but I don't check them real often. P.S. Spot price as of Sunday evening is $1900/Troy Ounce rounding up a few bucks to make it easy. Rob
  2. Hey Guys, Glad to see this happen, two US Companies join - Garland, TX, October 16, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Garrett Electronics, a design and manufacturing company specializing in sport and security metal detectors, announced the acquisition of certain assets of White’s Electronics. White’s, who had been in business since 1950 as a premier manufacturer of metal detection products, announced the suspension of operations on June 18, 2020 in a memo to its dealers. White’s founders, Kenneth and Olive White, built their business the same way Garrett’s founders, Charles and Eleanor Garrett, did, by innovating and committing to producing high quality products in the United States. White’s current principals, Kenneth R. and Mary White, are choosing to fold the White’s legacy in with Garrett Metal Detectors as a way of extending their “Made in the USA” tradition. Garrett CEO Steve Novakovich commented, “The White family and the Garrett family have had a high level of respect for one another as competitors in the sport market for decades. Now we at Garrett are proud to combine our respective legacies as Garrett continues on as the premier American metal detector company.” The transaction includes White’s trademarks, intellectual property, tooling, and other assets. It does not include White’s real estate in Oregon or Scotland. Garrett intends to rigorously defend all of White’s trademarks, patents, and other IP wherever infringement may occur. Novakovich continued, “Garrett recognizes that the White’s brand has a loyal following in the US and around the world. We are pleased to welcome those customers to Garrett, and we hope we can earn your future business.” Current White’s customers in need of repair or warranty service should contact: Centreville Electronics 9437 Main Street Manassas, VA 20110 (888)645-0202 (703)367-7999 centrevilleelectronics.net Centreville Electronics NW 1550 Maple Place Lebanon OR 97355 (541)409-7263 centrevilleelectronicsnw.com About Garrett Metal Detectors Garrett Metal Detectors, co-founded by electrical engineer Charles Garrett and fifth-generation educator Eleanor Smith Garrett, is a global leader in the design and manufacture of metal detection products for hobby, security, and law enforcement applications.. 3. Hey Guys/Gals, It's been a bit since I posted anything. The forums are very slow, at least mine here. I have to get all you guys/gals more fired up to post more stuff so we all can learn from each other and share experiences. That being said, the COVID-19 really changed how we do stuff, let alone set out mass FEAR to the World. There is no doubt it's real, but I will just leave it there and talk about gold nuggets! I managed to get out recently and had a nice run of luck with the Minelab GPZ 7000. I rounded up over an ounce in one day working any old channel. All the gold was down on bedrock and it was difficult to get some out of the cracks as they were covered and full of hard pack Caliche (notice the color or caliche on the gold). Just over 31 Dwt's (20 Dwt's = 1 Troy Ounce). Not a bad days work getting 1.5 ounces of the good stuff. God is Great. Rob
  4. Hey Way2cool, Ok, I forgot in my 1 ounce story that I placed a goal of finding a 12 Troy Ounce gold nuggets (1 Pound). Yes, I did find a solid 13 ouncer. I guess I need to write a story about that and then my next goal of finding a multi-pounder ..... Good luck, right?
  5. Hey Way2cool, I'm not sure what story you are referring to about the 12+ ounce gold nugget? Gold nuggets like that are very rare and hard to find!
  6. Hey Monel, I would search all of it at some point, but maybe starting out lower where gold would settle would make more sense for a starting point. Depending on the trash level, you might want to start down in any of the workings near the creek or the benches and see how you do. If you start picking up nuggets, you can always try the hillsides. Wishing you much success. Rob
  7. Hey Chuck, I haven't heard anymore about the GPX 6000 to be honest. I'm sure if it's a bit better than the prior GPX 5000, it will be getting a bit closer to the GPZ 7000. However, the GPZ is a absolute beast in my opinion. Rob
  8. Hey Guys, Thanks for the Birthday wishes. I'm 48 now .... Sorry the forum has been so slow, I have been so damn busy and it's been pretty hard for most prospectors to be wondering around too much. Rob
  9. Hello All, There has been rumors, probably pretty solid about a release of a Minelab GPX 6000 in the near future. I haven't heard anything about it, nor do I know any details beyond what I seen on another forum. It will be interesting to know more details if anyone has any. Rob

  13. To all Roadrunner members: We are forwarding this note along to all our members in hopes that someone may have seen Larry. A picture of him is also attached, Thanks, Pete ------ Forwarded Message ------ From: "Lila Schwenk" <marieleora44@gmail.com> To: rrpc-office@roadrunnergold.com Sent: 7/26/2020 1:27:16 PM Subject: Member Larry Lerdahl I and the Apache Junction and Prescott AZ police and sheriff's departments are searching for my brother, Larry Lerdahl. I and our other two siblings live in Wisconsin near Milwaukee. I believe, and am desperately hoping, that Larry is a member of your club so you might give us more information about where he pans for gold. Maybe other members in the Prescott, AZ area might know him and/or his whereabouts. He's panned for years previously, but just got back to it last fall, I believe. Larry was last heard of from me around the end of June, 2020. My siblings and I have left messages on his phone since then and he has not returned our calls. That's not like him at all! He's 79 years old and not in the best of health and out somewhere near Prescott, we believe, all alone. He's very slim built, about 5'7" with receding hair line. He often wears t-shirts and hats with Christian messages on them. If your members in the AZ area can you give me any information as to where Larry might go to pan for gold, or was last seen, it certainly would help to narrow down the search for him. He drives a white Kia SUV and uses it to live in while panning. Thank You for any assistance you might be to us. You can either email me, call my home phone - 262-544-0798 or cell phone 414-861-6311. Bless you for your efforts. Lila Schwenk Author of Penalties of the Truth A biography of brother, Larry lilaschwenk.com Psalm 106:1 - Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His love endures forever.

  15. Hey Guys, Another short video from about a month or so ago that I never uploaded. We are placering a wash down to bedrock and using the Minelab GPZ 7000 to scan the bedrock for nuggets.
  16. Hey Guys, The Minelab Promo's have always been a big hit, this season especially. Keep in mind there are about 3 weeks left before these great specials will end. The biggest hit right now is the Minelab GPZ 7000 with the FREE $1500 19" Searchcoil Promo. Just a FYI. We would love to earn your business! Rob
  17. Hey Doc, The riffles are great for the guys that like to sample pan in the creeks and such, or even dry pan a crack or two with the new scoop. However, the design seems to be slightly narrower and slightly deeper than standard treasure/nugget scoop. This feature seems to give the scoop more strength when digging in hard ground. We now have them listed (Yellow or Green) on our online store - https://www.robsdetectors.com/docs-gold-spot-treasure-scoop-portable-gold-pan/
  18. Hey LipCa, Ya, getting that first gold nugget will get you hooked for sure. The price of gold is increasing, even though it's not easy to find gold or gold nuggets, a couple of grams of gold will surely pay for gas and put about $100 in your pocket. Rob
  19. Hey Flak, Good memories here, as the thread started back in 2006, 14 years ago. Jim Straight was a wealth of information as you can see in this thread of posts. I promised I would do my best to keep Jim's books alive and printed. I reprinted both "Advanced Detecting & Prospecting for Hardrock Gold" and "3 Hours to Gold," which talks about this general area where the huge Mohave nugget was found. Both books can be found on my online store and this is probably the last printing I will have done (limited amount before the books will not be able to be found again). https://www.robsdetectors.com/advanced-prospecting-detecting-book/ - Advanced Prospecting & Detecting for Hardrock Gold https://www.robsdetectors.com/three-hours-to-gold-book/ - 3 Hours to Gold
  20. Hey All, As many of you might know in the mining/prospecting community, Icon Jim Straight passed away. Jim has been a mentor to hundreds, if not thousands of people over the years. Jim wrote many books, including the famous NuggetShooter's Bible, Advanced Prospecting and Detecting for Hardrock Gold, 3 Hours to Gold and many other smaller books. Jim also over the last 30-40 years was an active writer for many of the major prospecting magazines from Gold and Treasure, GPAA, ICMJ and many more. Without a doubt, Jim will always be looked at as a Icon in the prospecting and mining community. That being said, Jim and I were friends for over 30 years, so I always promised to support, promote and sell his products knowing what they would do for others. I had a recent opportunity to have a limited amount of "Advanced Prospecting & Detecting for Hardrock Gold" and "3 Hours to Gold" books reprinted to hopefully get some in new prospectors hands, as they are a huge help and will not be offered again. Pretty much all Jim's books are out of print and will not be reprinted again. Lets hopefully get the last of these two book into some peoples hands that don't don't have a copy, or would like to have a backup. I promise, you will get some great information out of this book. Below is a direct link to my online store to order this limited copy by Jim Straight. Limited Quantity available - $24.95 + $4.00 US First Class Shipping https://www.robsdetectors.com/advanced-prospecting-detecting-book/ Both books can be purchased from us online or give us a call.
  21. Hey Doc, We added them to our site, great product for sure - https://www.robsdetectors.com/docs-gold-spot-gspot-treasure-scoop-portable-gold-pan/
