  1. Hey Bandana Don and others, With the amount of phone calls over the last 5 years or so, Minelab could have doubled the amount of metal detectors I sold by lower their price $1,000 - $1,500 on the most current model. There is no doubt in my mind if Minelab lowered the prices on the SD2100v2 to $1,500 and the GPX-4500 to $3,000 they would probably double their sales. I don't make up the prices, but I do feel they make the absolute best metal detectors for overall detecting conditions (depth, sensitivity, mineral immunity). Just my thoughts, Rob Allison
  2. Hello Del, I've been following your posts over on Bill's forum and noticed you've been doing very well. Great to hear your still finding them. Thanks for posting your story and sharing. Hope to see you around here more often. Wishing you much more success. Rob Allison
  3. Hello Guys, I have to agree with you. Minelab, in my opinion, builds the best gold hunting metal detectors on this Planet. However, there has to be a point in time where the prices get too high the average "recreational" miner/prospector won't be able to afford them. I've had a lot of customer stating they would purchase the GPX-45000 for maybe $4,500 max, but the $5,000 per unit has left a lot of potential Minelab owners purchase other PI detectors for lesser prices. Heck, the dealer prices are getting so high I might not be able to afford the next big Minelab, unless there are some pointy fingers out there! Take care, Rob Allison
  4. Hey Mike C., Please keep us updated on your findings with the new Minelab E-Trac. I'm hoping to spend more time with it at some old placer camps just to see what it will do among all the iron rubbish. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  5. Hey Chuck, I actually seen that and I don't know if that is a "misprint" or what. All I know is until Minelab states we have to raise the prices, I'm selling brand new Minelab GPX-45000's with the best FREE bundle package at $4,998.97 shipped to you! I sure hope Minelab doesn't increase prices again .... Anyone that wants information on the new Minelab GPX-4500 or any other metal detector accessories is welcome to contact me through these forums, Private Message me, email me at - auplacers@yahoo.com or call and talk with me directly at 623-362-1459. Take care, Rob Allison
  6. Hey Guys, Thanks for posting your finds. I knew some guys had to be finding some nice stuff out there. I think I've finally gotten over this cold, so this weekend I'm taking a couple of new customers out that purchased metal detectors and hope to get to swing a bit myself. Hopefully I can post a little bit of color when the weekend is over. Rob Allison
  7. Hello All, Just curious if anyone has been playing around with the new Minelab E-Trac's? I've been playing around with one here at home and it seems to work better than the Minelab Explorer, which is kind of amazing since I think the Minelab Explorer is one of the best. Just wondering if anyone else out there has one and can give us some thoughts on what you think so far on this new unit. Here is some information on the new Minelab E-Trac - E-Trac is Minelab's most technologically advanced detector, incorporating unique Full Band Spectrum (FBS) Technology. Its sleek, sturdy design, innovative control panel, intuitive menus, clear LCD, robust lightweight coil and comprehensive targeting options set E-Trac apart from any other detector available today. Minelab has taken a further ground breaking step by incorporating a USB interface, which will allow you to download and upload E-Trac settings, User Modes and Discrimination Patterns using your own Personal Computer (PC). E-Trac will locate valuable metal objects in a variety of mineralised ground conditions such as extremely salty soils, sea water, wet beach sand and highly magnetic ground conditions. By using the E-Trac you can become one of the many successful detectorists who combine their passion for the outdoors with the excitement of discovering valuable coins, relics, gold and jewellery on a regular basis. E-Trac delivers Full Band Spectrum (FBS) with Simultaneous Frequencies ranging from 1.5kHz - 100kHz through its powerful microprocessor. The frequency range means that the signal received from the detector coil is analysed from a wide range of responses. This allows E-Trac's advanced signal processing to rate detected objects according to their ferrous and conductivity (FE-CO) characteristics and analyse more target information so that the target identification (ID) is more accurate. Minelab's Smartfindâ„¢ is a unique two-dimensional scale of discrimination. Smartfindâ„¢ graphically represents both the ferrous and conductivity properties on the same display. This combined with E-Trac's target Discrimination ability eliminates signals from undesired targets and accepts signals from desired targets. E-Trac's technology means: - Greater detecting depth - High sensitivity over a wide range of targets - Less interference from electromagnetic sources - More accurate identification of target characteristics E-Trac Xchange allows you to download and upload detector settings and Discrimination Patterns via USB to your Personal Computer. This advanced feature is designed to allow you to quickly configure the E-Trac to particular detecting environments and preferred targets. You can always share your experiences and settings with other detectorists. The installation CD and Xchange User Guide supplied with your E-Trac ensure you can get started straight away. You can build a resource library charting your success with your E-Trac. Download and store your valuable Settings, User Modes and Patterns for your favourite sites and upload them as required. There's no limit to the number you can store on your PC so make the most of your E-Trac and never worry about losing your successful settings again! Features E-Trac Xchange USB functionality - create, download and upload your E-Trac Settings and Discrimination Patterns for your favourite sites; save to your PC or XChange them with others by email. Ultra-lightweight waterproof 11" Double D Waterproof Coil, versatile with sharp, accurate pinpointing and depth! QuickMaskâ„¢ with independent Ferrous and Conductivity rejection level adjust - a fast and simple way to edit Patterns Smartfindâ„¢ offers Minelab's proven unique discrimination and dual coordinate target profiling. Discrimination Scale with radical realignment improves the target ID and recovery rate of good targets at depth Sensitivity functionality with expanded Auto, Manual and "Suggested" settings Refined Threshold adjustment level on a 1-50 scale - greater precision to suit your requirements Pinpoint with audio and visual indicators on 2 modes makes target size and identification more accurate than ever Four pre-programmed Minelab User Modes with specific Settings and Patterns suited to Coins; High Trash; Beach and Relics. Four User Mode slots - personalise your Modes to suit your specific detecting target preferences and environment. Ground Setting options of Neutral and Difficult adapt easily to benign or the most challenging operating conditions with these settings. Trash Density - High ensures you experience fewer false signals in high trash environments, Low is perfect for cleaner sites. User-centered Keypad and Menu Interface Design - enhanced usability with intuitive icons and logical menu sequences that are fast and so easy to use! Clear resolution Visual Display Panel 72mm x 48mm - designed for optimum visibility in all light conditions Ergonomic, perfectly balanced Handle Assembly ensures longer periods of detecting without fatigue! Additional Expert Features and Preferences allow you to customise your E-Trac to suit your needs. Your Price - $1,498.97 Detectors always in stock. Take care, Rob Allison

  9. Hello Gary, Stella and others, Thanks for keeping us all updated on what is going on. I've been under the weather for the last couple of days, so been off the forums. The advantage we have today is the fact the medicine and technology is much more advanced and the fact we are all praying for the little guy. Also, someone asked if the paypal account was still active? What is the best way for new people to send payment to Stella and Alec? Please keep us updated, Rob Allison
  10. Hey Karl, I'm still fighting this head cold. Today it's getting better, but not yet completely gone. I will tell Dennis Hi for you. I actually haven't talked to him for about a week. I've sold a bunch of the new Coiltek Goldstalker coils to all kinds of Minelab users, including the GP3000's. The feedback I'm getting from the users that are saying something is good news. They all seem to believe they are much quieter than other coils, very sensitivity and some claim they are getting better depth on these new coils compared to equal sizes of other manufactures. Just passing on what the customers have to say about these new coils. I've been playing around with the new Coiltek Goldstalker 16 and 18-inch mono rounds. They are great and will work great for Moore Creek this season. I'm sure everyone on our group will be using these new coils, whether they are ellipticals or rounds. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  11. Hello All, The last couple of weekends I've been pretty tied up on my end. This weekend it would be just my luck that I get sick. I've been battling some type of head cold for the last couple of days with little results of it going away any time soon. I know a few of you guys have to be out there scoring some gold nuggets. Let see them! Rob Allison
  12. Hey Guys, Congrats to GoldStudmuffin and Matt. Both had great stories and some good gold pictures. Sure wish more would have wrote a short story, but the lesser amount of entries means better changes for the guys that did get in on this! Hope others sure their stories and pictures with us here at Nuggethunting.com Forums. Take care, Rob Allison
  13. Hey MontanaGold, Great to hear everything is working fine again. Thanks for sharing your story and finds with us. Wishing you many more, Rob Allison
  14. Hello All, Just noticed this morning the forums were down. Hopefully they are back and restored to normal once again. If you are having trouble, please let me know. Thanks, Rob Allison
  15. Hey Vini, Happy Birthday to you also! Hope you dig up some big gold nuggets. Take care, Rob Allison
  16. Hey Guys, I probably got a bit overworked, but it just bugs me when people do this. I think everyone has dug some holes and left them behind. I would be a Hipocrite if I told you I didn't walk away from holes and didn't refill them. I think most of the ones in dry wash bottoms are fine since they will refill in no time flat, but the ones people leave on hillsides and within site of people are whats going to destroy it for us. We "all" need to get into the habit of taking a few extra seconds and scape or push the material back into the hole we dug. Just my opinion, Rob Allison
  17. Hey Ron, For many years I kept hearing about gold in the Cargo's, but most of the stories I was hearing was smaller gold nuggets. I just figured it wasn't worth a long drive from Central Arizona. About a year ago a customer called and purchased a new GPX-4000 and wanted to know if I would trade for gold. I told him I didn't need anymore gold and he said he would get back with me. About a week later this customer called back and mentioned he sold the gold and was ready for the GPX-4000 and several searchcoils. As we started talking more about gold, he mentioned he spent the last couple of years working all the gullies around the Cargo's and found many .... many pounds of gold and even some pretty nice sized nuggets, well over 1+ ounce in size. Sure wish I would have drove out there and took a look at the area many years ago. As far as La Paz, most of the area is now taken back over by the Indian Reservation. I believe there are places South of I-10 that are still part of La Paz that might be worth exploring, but most of the stuff North of I-10 is Indian Reservation once again. Take care, Rob Allison
  18. Hey Guys, Thanks for the all the Birthday wishes. I'm the big 36 now! Take care, Rob Allison
  19. Hey Ray, Excuse my French , but those are the noobies that have Gold Fever and don't give a Fuck about anything else. Unfortunately I know some of these guys here and they will tear down the place, leave open pits/holes and even leave their trash for someone else to worry about. You will then later find out they found a small gold nugget for all that distruction and BS. Take care buddy, Rob Allison
  20. Hey Guys, Some great Coiltek stories so far. Hope to see some more tonight or early tomorrow to get in before the contest ends. Coiltek has done some amazing things with these new Coiltek Goldstalker Searchcoils. I'm afraid to say, but this is only the re-beginning for Coiltek once again. Trev has some exciting new things coming beyond the new coils. Thanks for sharing all the stories so far. Rob Allison
  21. Hey Chuck, I would be too scared with those big old beasts! My Polaris 500 EFI has enough torque and power to flip my 230lb butt right off it. I could only imagine the power and torque those bad boys have. I'm sure they would be fun to ride though .... Take care, Rob Allison
  22. Hey Gus, Great story and gold nuggets. Thanks as always for sharing your experiences. I stayed home this entire weekend doing stuff around the house. However, did spend several hours researching an area in Arizona and found a place I doubt anyone has ever explored with a modern metal detector. I'm just hoping there might be some gold somewhere in this spot. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  23. Hello Guys, Just wanted to let you know the "FREE" Coiltek Goldstalker Searchcoil giveaway ends Sept. 15th. Make sure you get your stories written and submitted to this forum before that date if you want to get in on the contest. The new Coiltek coils are amazing, so hate to see anyone miss out on a FREE lightweight Coiltek coils that is valued at $450. Take care, Rob Allison
  24. Hey Jim, Great to hear both of you guys will be at the Hill this year. We all missed you last year. I'm sure some nice gold will be found. See you soon! Rob Allison
