  1. Hey Gus, Wow! It's always great to go back to an old patch (yours or someone else's) and find gold nuggets that have been missed. Do you think the prior patch finders were using bigger Minelab PI's? I would have done the same as you, jump right down in the gut and see what they missed at depth. Just goes to show the big Minelab's and aftermarket coils will find some nice pieces at depth. Maybe the patch finders will read the forums and see what they missed. Thanks once again for sharing your story and finds. Wishing you many more, Rob Allison
  2. Hey Guys, I just got back from a long weekend hunt and even scored some gold. However, the better news is Alec is doing much better than what we was a week or so ago. Without a doubt, all the prayers helped and the little guy is on the way to recovery. Lets keep him in our prayers. P.S. I cleaned up the posts on the thread. Lets keep all the person attacks and comments off the forum. Take care, Rob Allison
  3. Hello All, I've been getting a bunch of emails and phone calls. I still haven't gotten in touch with a number of you, so if you need anything prior to the pushes I can bring it out. I have a number of orders already process and ready to bring out, others still waiting to hear back from. Anyone wanting to pick up there orders, I will be at the Desert Special Pushes (Stanton side) about 1/2 hour before the pushes start (roughly 8:30am). I will be up to around 9pm tonight and then I'm out for the count. See you all at the pushes, Rob Allison
  4. Hey Jim, I know you have been away from the forums for a bit, but just wanted to let you know most of us here haven't forgotten you by any means. Speaking of that, I can still remember the first time you showed up at my Parents house and we went out metal detecting. I can remember the whole time driving we were talking about Geology and other stuff related to finding gold. Hope to see you and your Sons out on the 24K Gold Hunters claims this weekend. Take care Champ, Rob Allison
  5. Hey Fred, You're very welcome. Thanks once again for your business. Wishing you and the rest the best of luck at Gold Basin. The weather looks like it might be very nice up there. Take care, Rob Allison
  6. Hey Gus, Good news travels fast about you and your Father. Heard a lot of great things about both of you guys. Ralph mentioned when he leaves Stanton he is going to head to Northern Nevada for awhile. Ralph arrived at the Stanton camp several weeks ago, but took off for about a week hunting some other spots and found a good dozen or so gold nuggets. I'm sure it would be a great time if we all could get together in the future for a hunt. Let's keep it open and hopefully we can get it done before this season is over. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  7. Hey Matt, Congrats on the gold nugget at depth. The new Goldstalker Searchcoils are selling very ... very well now. I took all of them out to the 24K Rich Hill claims and many wanted one right away. I also drove through the Stanton Camp and showed them around and picked up another couple of sales right away. Many are requesting me to bring them back out to the pushes this coming weekend so they can check them out. As for running out of space, you will need to clear out some old pictures. Go into your "My Control" tab on the top right of the forum and you can clear out some old attachments that most probably don't look at anymore. I'm not sure what size of pictures you are using, but you might consider keeping them under like 1000x1000 pixels. Thanks once again for sharing your story and finds, sure gets everyone pumped up! Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  8. Hey Goldstudmuffin, Just noticed it's your Birthday. However, should I can you StudMuffin 1 or 2? I know your Brother is finding more gold than you, so maybe I should can you StudMuffin # 2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Rob Allison
  9. Hey Guys, Uncle Ron - Great looking nugget. Sure sounds like you have a good place to prospect. Hope you continue to score more from that Vulture area. I've been selling the crap out of the new Goldscreamer Signal Enhancers. Gus - Ralph Bond wanted me to tell you Hi. He said maybe we all an get together in Nevada and do some hunting this season. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  10. Hey Marcos, Thanks for the pictures and story. Hope to hear more about that area in the near future. Wishing you and your Father the best of luck. Rob Allison
  11. Hey Lon, Thanks for showing up. I was asked to conduct another Metal Detecting Seminar specific to the Minelab PI series. I tried to keep the last couple of Seminars pretty general and not too specific to any one metal detector. Did you have any luck up on the Hill that day? I stopped over at Congress Days and talked with Elly and some others. I seen you behind me as I left Congress heading towards Wickenburg. Hope to see you out there this coming weekend. Rob Allison
  12. Hello All, Just wanted to Thank Elly, the 24K Gold Hunters Club and all the people that showed that day. The weather was great, probably in the low 80's. There was around 25 people that showed up for the Metal Detecting Seminar and it lasted a couple of hours. The bulk of the members had Minelab metal detectors, while others had some VLF and coin/relic units. Seemed like I kept everyone's attention the entire time while I talked about metal detectors, tips/tricks and even about placers at Rich Hill. Many members stuck around for several hours after the Seminar asking questions about detector settings, looking at new products and even asking about nugget patches. I was asked to conduct another Metal Detecting Seminar specific to the big Minelab PI's. This will happen sometime late this year or early next year while the weather is still very nice. The 24K Gold Hunters Club pushes start this coming weekend. I'm sure there will be a great showing of people this year on the pushes and some nice gold will be found. I was asked to set up another display booth this coming weekend to benefit members that didn't get to see all the new products available. Thanks again for all the business and support. Wishing you all some big gold nuggets from the claims. Rob Allison
  13. Hello Russ, First I believe it's your Birthday, Happy Birthday to You! This could very well be the guy that ran that TV repair shop in Tempe. I can't remember his name right off hand, but talked with him many times when he done Minelab VLF gold repairs. I believe Reg is conducting a field test along with a couple others guys on the 24K Gold Claims Tuesday or Wednesday. I heard they are going to do a shootout, Minelab vs. White's or something along those lines. I conducted the Metal Detecting Seminar this weekend on the 24K Gold Hunters Claims and there was a decent turnout and sold a bunch of stuff. Elly asked me to set up another display booth this coming weekend with a much bigger turnout. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  14. Hey Goldstudmuffin, Interesting to hear this guy is here in Phoenix, Arizona doing the Minelab mods. Makes me wonder if it was the guy that done all the Minelab repairs back in the day when the Minelab US Distributor was in Tempe, Arizona ... Congrats to hear your guys found some nuggets with the new Coiltek Goldstalker coils that were missed by prior coils. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  15. Hello SkipperBill, Well at least you will be there for the pushes. Yes, I have the Goldscreamer Signal Enhancers for the SD, GP or GPX series. I will make sure I bring a few along that day. I just sold Don "Hollywood" one and he found three gold nuggets already on Rich Hill. He said he has a couple more guys wanting them now. I'm pretty sure I won't forget to bring one, but if you get a chance shoot me over an email or give me a call a few days prior if you would. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  16. Hello All, I've been a bit quiet since I've lately had a bunch on my plate. However, I have got out a couple of times and found more of that Yellow stuff. Been doing some more testing with the GPX-4500 and the new Coiltek Goldstalker Round Mono's. I know you have heard me say this a million times, but I've so damn impressed with these new coils. I was hoping Coiltek would have designed these coils many years ago (a suggestion I gave them about the lightweight trend), but now is better than never! The last couple of trips have been over at Rich Hill where there is some deeper alluvial gravels that can give up some decent nuggets from time to time. Several people have spotted me using these new coils and can't wait until they are released, which I believe will be in a few weeks. I'm also showing the new Goldstalker ellipticals to people around Stanton and they are very impressed. A couple of good nuggetshooters that don't post on the forums were glad to see some new lightweight coils from Coiltek. I haven't found any Bonaza's (at least not yet), but finding Dwt sized nuggets in old patches at depths I've missed with prior coils and metal detectors. One major advantage of these new Goldstalkers is their "Stability" and "Smoothness." I've bumped, smacked and tried to get these coils to false with no success at doing so. Trev, I'm very impressed once again with your Ingenuity! Will get some pictures up soon. Rob Allison
  17. Hello WhatsforSupper, Thanks for posting that, I really enjoyed seeing and hearing someone making a living on what they love to do. It's always been a dream of mine, at least the last 15 years or so to have a gold placer operation. It might never happen, but I'm always keeping my eye open on promising areas. Take care, Rob Allison
  18. Hey Way2cool, Yes, that does happen ever so often if you're in a very brushy type terrain. However, Coiltek makes both open and solid coil covers for most of all their coils. The solid coil cover on a open type coil will elliminate anything snagging on the coil such as grass, brush or smaller boulders. Hope this helps a bit, Rob Allison
  19. Hello Marcos, I would first like to welcome you to the Nuggethunting.com Forums! Very interesting story and hope to see some pictures in the near future. You're going to love the new Coiltek Goldstalker 18.5-inch elliptical Mono. This has become one of my favorite coils since it's so freaking lightweight, great sensitivity to small gold and still gets great depth (even on small gold). Wow ... 2.1Kg's? Talk with you soon, Rob Allison
  20. Hey Guys, This coming Saturday will be just the Seminar I'm doing on the claims. I believe Elly stated she had some type of sign-up list and mentioned to me there was like 25-30 people signed up already. My plans are to talk for a couple of hours about metal detectors, tips/tricks, techniques, new products/coils and probably about some general information about the patches and gold around the claims. The following weekend, October 11th will be the first day of the pushes. I believe all the pushes will be done for the opening day. Was out there this last weekend and seen a bunch of new faces (new members)! Talk with you all later, Rob Allison
  21. Hey Lon, This coming Saturday I'm doing a short Seminar about Metal Detecting on the club claims. This will be held on the Devil's Nest claims, right around where the old clubhouse used to be. I'm going to talk about metal detectors, searchcoils, new stuff and some about Rich Hill and the placers. This should probably last a couple of hours and then we can go into questions and doing some hunting. I guess Elly won't be there Saturday since she has to be at the Congress Days doing the Panning Contest. The Seminar is FREE for any member of the club. All non-members must pay a fee. Club Security will be checking everyone in to make sure it's members only from what I've been told. Are you heading up Saturday? For all the people that will be attending, if there is something you need me to bring or something you want me talk about, please let me know. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  22. Hello All, A customer purchased a GPX-4000 about a year ago and mentioned he was heading out of the country from some prospecting. He ordered three additional stock Li-Ion batteries for this trip, but only ended up using two of them on the trip. He is wanting to sell two of them, which are brand new, never used. He said they are still packed in the orignal bubble wrap. He is asking $300/Li-Ion battery. The normal sale price is $349.97 per battery. This is a $50 saving per battery if you're interested. I doubt they will be around long, so if you're interested, please contact me ASAP. (Phone 623-362-1459) Thanks, Rob Allison
  23. Hello All, Here are some of my friends recent gold finds from the US. I will let him tell more about these finds if he wishes. Thanks for letting us use these pictures. Rob Allison
  24. Hey Guys, Great looking gold! Montana - Very nice piece you found there. Was it deep, or fairly shallow? Was going to get out this morning, but talked myself out of it. Maybe tomorrow .... J.P. - Great to hear from you and nice looking gold. Many have been asking about you, but figured you were out there finding that gold. Have you been using the new Goldstalker coils much? Trev mentioned something about you might have some and doing some testing. With all the coils we have to choose from now it's hard to figure out what coil I want to use. Frank C. - Very nice looking piece you found there. Thanks for sharing. Take care, Rob Allison
  25. Hey Grubstake, Dawn and I both have been under the weather a bit, but we sent Stella some money today through Paypal ($150.00). Great to hear everyone is coming together for Stella and Alec and she is getting the help, insurance and right advice they need. Please continue to keep us updated, Rob Allison
