  1. Hello Doc, Happy New Year to you and your family. Doc, without you I wouldn't be in the position I'm in today. You have help me build my business to what it is today. I might not have the big storefront location, or fancy advertising, but you will get 110% customer satisfaction and support way beyond the sale. I built my business on the same ethics your Father taught you. Thanks for everything you have done. Rob Allison
  2. Hello Bob, Anytime my friend ... Next time I'm out there just let me know. I will let you use a backup pair (just about brand new) for the day. If you like them and become interested in a pair I always have them in stock. If you don't like them, just leave me a $20 bill. Hahaa ... Take care, Rob Allison
  3. Hello Bill & Melinda, Thanks for joining the Nuggethunting.com Gold Forums. Years ago I formed these forums to bring people with like interests together. Gold Prospecting and Electronic Prospecting are great hobbies and I couldn't imagine not doing them. The Prescott Valley area is beautiful and you're going to love it up there. The area is growing fast, but what part of Arizona isn't. You're going to be right in the heart of gold country. The Bradshaw Mountains being just a short drive to the South. This range extends from Lake Pleasant (South end) all the way North to Prescott. Lynx Creek being one of the most productive gold bearing creeks in the Bradshaw's. Glad to have you aboard the forums. There are no stupid questions, so just start asking them ... Hope to see you contributing more soon. Rob Allison
  4. Hello Coach (Tim), Thanks for joining the Nuggethunting.com Gold Forums. You will learn a ton of information here plus all the members are great! I love the Bradshaw Mountains for Nuggethunting. Congrats on your first gold nugget find. They always seem to come easier after that first one. I think it's like a mental block or something, but once you find one you know what to listen for and the fact you know you can find them. Keep up the great work. If you have any type of questions feel free to post them here. Hope to see you contibuting more in the future. P.S. You mentioned clubs .... If your budget allows you might consider the 24 Karat Gold Hunters Club. It's stickly a nuggethunting club and they have pushes every couple of weeks. Other great clubs would include the Roadrunner Prospectors Club, Weaver Mining & LDMA/GPAA. Rob Allison
  5. Hello AzNuggetBob, The 1.48 ouncer was one hell of a piece. However, could only imagine some of the nuggets you have seen over the years ... This piece was Bill's first find. I think he spoiled himself too soon. Nuggets like that are very rare and hard to come by, but if it was my first find I wouldn't complain! Take care, Rob Allison
  6. Hello All, Well Iggy took note to the vote and purchased some Black Widow's tonight. Iggy and another customer just left. Iggy is going to give them a run tomorrow at the Hill. Wishing you the best of luck out there Iggster! P.S. Keep in mind, some headphones are great for one detector, but maybe not so for another. The DetectorPro Headphones work awesome on the Minelab SD/GP/GPX Metal Detectors, but have only used them on a handful of VLF's (Minelabs). Koss make a variety of great headphones. I used the Gold Edition for many years on the early SD's and really liked them. However, had a problem with the very thin cord. Take care, Rob Allison
  7. Hello All, It always great to meet a guy that you chat with on the forums. I know over the years I have chatted with hundreds of the forum members, but only have met a small percentage of them. Bunk is great guy and I'm glad to have him as a friend. Thanks for all the business my friend. Wishing you the best 2007 prospecting year. Rob Allison
  8. Hello Uncle Ron, I found the Coiltek piece. I will get a picture up tonight to make sure it's the right one. I will just give it to you since you're "Uncle Ron!" Talk with you soon, Rob Allison
  9. Hello Uncle Ron, I seen the older Coiltek amp you like and as I mentioned at Stanton I believe I have one around. I'm going to start searching through all the old stuff right now and will let you know. However, I'm positive I have one around here, just seen it a month or so ago. Talk with you soon, Rob Allison
  10. Hello Iggy, You will find out that the DetectorPro Black Widow's will be right up there towards the top. Everyone is skeptical about the price on them, but once they have them they are sold! Sold two more pairs this weekend at Stanton. The word will get around about them there and I will not be able to keep them in stock. The Koss UR-30's are a great mid-line headphone in my opinion. The Gray Ghost Series, NuggetBuster Series and Jimmy Sierra are all Detectorpro headphones. The best ones are the Gray Ghost Ultimates, Nugget Buster NDT and the Black Widow's. Hope this helps a bit, Rob Allison
  11. Hello Bunk, Just heard your message on my answering machine about your first gold nugget! Congrats Bunk, you deserve it! Hope this is just the start for your 2007 nugget hunting season. If you need anything, you know you can always call or email me. Happy New Year, Rob Allison
  12. Hello Bob, I posted a long thread about yesterday's hunt at the hill, but the server crashed! Well, I'm getting ready to hit the hills again this morning over on some local ground. Bill Skipper nugget was a solid 1.5 ounces. I posted a picture below of Bill, new GPX-4000 and his first gold nugget! Glenn found a nice nugget weighing 108 grains from the same area. About 20 nuggets were found total from what I seen. Most of them were small besides Bill's and Glenn's. I found two small ones during GPX-4000 field instructions. One customer from Kansas will be taking an Arizona gold nugget home with him. Kevin H. was there from Minelab USA doing some metal detecting filming. Thanks for spending some time with me and my new customers Kevin. Talk with you guys later, Rob Allison
  13. Hello GazRecrut, Welcome to the Nuggethunting.com Gold Forums. You will find a wealth of knowledge here on the forums and most are very open to help. Any chance you can tell us more about yourself and background in gold prospecting/nugget hunting? Have a Happy New Year, Rob Allison
  14. Hello Largo, Thanks for the directly link. This is the best way for all the guys to get the older manuals. Since Minelab designed the new site they removed the older manuals that can be downloaded. Any chance you can find the other manuals for these people Largo? Thanks, Rob Allison
  15. Hello Allan, I'm not willing to sell the GP3000 manual since they are not available, but will photocopy my manual and sent it too you FREE of charge. Let me know if that works for you. Hopefully the photocopied version will work. Talk with you soon, Rob Allison
  16. Hello Grubstake, I heard "Santa Doc" was good to you this year! What does the new Coiltek amp set-up look like? Just curious if it's another version, or the same ones I'm selling now? Sure wish I could have been up there with you guys ... Take care, Rob Allison
  17. Hello Lamar, Good to hear from you! I talked with Dredgebug last night and he placed the order for the three Coiltek Searchcoils. I told him the performance between the Joey DD and Platypus wouldn't be huge. However, the Joey is much smaller and get fit into tight areas and he liked that. He also wanted a completely waterproof searchcoil so he decided on the Platypus for that. The Wallaby DD Pro will be his patch or pocket finding searchcoil. He wanted all DD Pro Searchcoil to elliminate any ground noise on his GP3500. I hope Dredgebug comes up with some nice gold! Take care, Rob Allison
  18. Hello Doc, No biggie, figured there would only be a "limited" supply to start with. Thanks for sending what you could to me. I will have them all sold within no time flat. You and Coiltek really hit it big with the "Coiltek Pocket Rocket Li-Ion System! Take care, Rob Allison
  19. Hello Glen, I used the SD2200d for just a short time, spent a lot more time behind the SD2100 and then the GP series. If your searchcoil cable is not fastened tight it will create false signals. However, sometimes if you move the cord it will make a bit of noise. Just make sure it's fastened tight and maybe even use a velcro tie to keep it secure. As for coils, there are so many out there. I will let Grubstake comment on this since he's used the SD2200d more than I have. Although, I know what coil he is going to tell you! Take care, Rob Allison
  20. Hello Guys, I received a new Detecting Backpack set up yesterday from "Santa Doc." I've tried all type of backpacks over the years, but I think I'm really going to like this one! The picture I'm posting don't do a whole lot of justice since it don't show the lower portion of the belt. This system is very slick and fits very well, much better than any Camelpak I've used in the past. Will give it a try this weekend. THANKS SANTA DOC! Rob Allison
  21. Hello Doc, YAHOOOO!!!! I couldn't understand why I had like 14 new Private Messages and a bunch of emails asking about the new GPX-4000 Pocket Rocket System .... Well now I know why! Man, Coiltek never fails to amaze me. They continue to keep coming up with great products. If you have another 10 units you better send them my way, these buggers are going to go quickly! I have a pre-order list going right now, at least half of them are spoken for. Call, email or PM me right away if you're looking to get one of the first systems available. Dawn will be answering the phone tomorrow morning starting at 7am. Busines Line - (623) 362-1459 Email - auplacers@yahoo.com Talk with you soon, Rob Allison
  22. Hello All, I'm sitting here going through all the year-end inventory and found several old Minelab Instructional Manuals. I'm not willing to sell them, but will photocopy them if you need a copy. Email me at - auplacers@yahoo.com if you would like a copy. I have the SD2200d, GP Extreme & GP3000 if anyone is interested. Take care, Rob Allison
  23. Hello Uncle Ron, Well, Larry didn't find the 1+ ouncer on the flats. I orginally thought that, but now I know exactly where he found it along with a handful of others. The area has been pounded to death before and after the find. I found a bunch in there a long time ago, but nothing of one ounce size. Talked with Larry a couple of weeks ago and he had another 3-4 nuggets that he recently found. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  24. Hello Bigfoot, The Minelab I was using was actually the SD2000, which was the first Minelab Pulse Induction (PI) Metal Detector. This detector was deadly quiet, but didn't have the sensitivity as the SD2100/2200 or the newer GP series. Man, that clear water dredging is the shit! That is the type of dredging I love, too bad Arizona water is so damn seasonal (if we get any). Gold Dredging is one of my true passions. Take care, Rob Allison
  25. Hello All, Here is a picture that was sent to me from some prospecting adventures many years ago. I believe I was using the original SD2000, but it might have been when the SD2100 first came out. I'm thinking SD2000 cause that was the first Leather Control Box Covers that Doc designed many years ago. I was working some old bench gravels along a major gold bearing creek in the Bradshaw Mountain Range. Well that was at least 8-10 years ago. I now have some Gray Hair, gained weight, a bit uglier .... but I'm using the Minelab GPX-4000! P.S. No, I'm not Chinese! Take care, Rob Allison
