I've been going out detecting once or twice a week for the last ten months and generally finding one or two pennyweight per outing .. but three weeks ago i finally found a patch…. 74. total pwt .the biggest was 14pwt. the gold was great but detecting with friends is priceless... I really like to read that kind of stuff because it is what leads to an actually legitimate handful of gold. Change the names and terrain if need be. I know a bunch of guys that are killing it, but they won't post anything on the forums. They know the routine that some can't find gold, so they are just looking for someone to slip up and post something that someone might have seen or attach a picture with GPS coords or something along those lines. A lot of gold being found, more than you would expect, but a good majority want no part of posting their finds. I completely understand.
