Brent in MT
My son Joseph went with me on a two day hunt over the weekend, dad wasn't able to make this trip. This is around my sons 3rd time detecting with me. I have to admit that he has a ear for the small wobble swinging the 4000. If you could have seen his face on the first nug, a memory for a lifetime for me. I got the skunk but gain in more ways than words could say. Waiting for the next time. Hope you enjoy the pics.Lucky, you would have been proud to see how quick he has been able to pick up on how to use the 4000.

LuckyLundy
Brent,Hey what a trip for both of you! Starting your Son off on the right foot, he will have gold fever for the rest of his life. One day he will be Sharing his gained knowledge from you with his kids in the outdoors. Brent, prospecting got so bad for me at 18/19 years of age that it cost me a few Mule Deer and a ton of quail, but I've found plenty of Steaks and Lobsters prospecting! Fill your poke up with memories and gold!LuckyLundy
shep
Great quality time for sure and for all. I've had a lot of good memories from Rich Hill, good gold, good comraderies, but something that always touched my heart was a hundred years ago, Jim P. and 6 year old(?) boy detecting together. Jim would find target, boy dug. It don't get no better than that. Don't know if I've seen Jim or his boy since, but the closeness there, I'm sure is still there. Roo
What, a kid that doesn't want to sit in front of an X Box or Playstation all day!? You might want to clone that one!Good on him.
Old Tom
Jim would find target, boy dug. It don't get no better than that. Something wrong here, Son finds target, pops digs. Oh well as long as there is gold at the bottom of the hole I guess I'll do it. Old Tom
shep
Ol Tom, you two are precious too! Young Tom is doing you well, keeping your mind active, holes aren't usually that deep so you don't forget what you're there for. Much better than going out spending the evening in a bar picking up women, then forgetting what to do with them when you get one. ;-)
Old Tom
Shep You're right about not knowing what to do with gal once I found one. Forgot all that stuff a while back. I still manage to find a little nugget here and there between digging for tommy boy and resting my butt. Can't wait till the next outing, I hope its Quartzite. Last time I was there it was about a couple of months after my five way bypass, couldn't do much. Old Tom
shep
We'll do Q maybe too early this year; gotta get away and out! Done it before, get out before daybreak hunt as long as one can and drink beer in the afternoon. Worse to worse, do have AC in TH. Be ready! Tell Tommy I'll bring the nuts-
