clay
It's a common tourist re strike Glenn. One of about 300 million according to this site. It might contain some silver from the looks of the way the solder took out the stamping in the lower front corner. Maybe $12 in scrap value? Still pretty cool find. I'm sure there is some personal history behind it.
Glenn
Thanks for all the information, this area is full of old sites to hunt but most of it is private property. It is always fun to get out and swing your detector but it is kind of overkill using the 4500 in all this trash, I think I am going to have to break down and get a 3030 to weed through this stuff. Admin nuggethunting Posted June 29, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted June 29, 2015 Hey Glenn, Congrats on the find. No question you live where history dates back hundreds of years, unlike Arizona. Arizona just don't have the history like some of the back East States.
