Admin nuggethunting Posted August 13, 2016 Admin Report Share Posted August 13, 2016 Hey Guys, It's been a few months since I have actually been out. I think about sneaking out for a few hours during the weekends, but something always comes up. Curious if the Monsoon's moved anything around out there? Hope you're finding some gold! Buckeye Boy
Not much material movement in my hunting grounds as of last week. Going out tomorrow to see what this last storm did. If it is anything like my yard there shouldn't be any trees left standing in the desert. I am still in clean up mode. AJ
Cowkiller
Same here. A few washes ran a little but didn't bring or uncover anything new for me. I wish it would rain some more! I sure need it.
oldies1955
I was out at Jackass flats watching the meteor shower on the 12th....LSD ran a little but not much. Tom H.

Admin nuggethunting Posted August 15, 2016 Author Admin Report Share Posted August 15, 2016 Hey Guys, Thanks for the update. Tom - Were you able to see much of the Meteor Shower? Last year I was up around Congress and about 1am I walked outside and it looks like "Star Wars!" I never seen anything like this. I could even hear some of the meteorites. oldies1955
Well... actually...it was not as big. Did see some good ones. The dern moon was almost full so that messed it up a little. I headed out around 2 am...it may have been better after that , but I was done It was fun to sit out there and watch them with a good bud and catch up though. Jack ass flats may not be far enough out from the city???? Tom H.
andyy
I've been checking a few areas for Monsoon water flow. Pretty disappointing. Nothing getting turned up too much, yet. Prescott has been getting rain about every day, though.

boulder dash
I hit a wash in the vulture mountains. Recently went back and found 4 more. It also knocked the 151 motor I was using off the bank. Washed it down steam a few hundred yards. Not sure if it's savable.
Admin nuggethunting Posted August 17, 2016 Author Admin Report Share Posted August 17, 2016 Hey Boulder Dash, Good reports and congrats on the four you found. I always found after some good Monsoons that a handful of washes (normally the richer ones) would have a few pieces that would surface. andyy
BD - sorry to hear that about the motor. Good finds, though! I did also see some of the larger washes got some better flow in the Vulture area. Just not majority I had hoped for. Smaller washes didn't get much movement where I was at, though. Maybe mother nature will grant us some better rains in the near future.
Mike Furness
Been watching areas of Northern and Eastern Bradshaw's ... Eastern hasn't had much flow ... was surprised the little movement of Turkey Creek under the bridge just before town of Cleator... We've had a couple of brief drenchers in Prescott Valley side of the mountain but not long enough to move much.
