  1. Hello Goldstonehigh, Yes, the price is still $1,798.95 for the SD2200v's and I include a few free accessories and shipping/insurance if you purchase from me. Yep, it's a great price for a good Minelab PI and you can do a bunch of things to the SD's to increase performance even more. Not sure what you mean about the SD2200v2 and the GP3000 being the same unit ... The GP3000 is the second GP series detector following the GP Extreme. The GP3000 detector was released in April 2003 and is no longer in production. The GP 3000 was a gold detector utilising Pulse Induction, MPS and DVT technologies. In my opinion, the GP3000 is a much better detector when it comes to finding smaller gold, smaller gold at depth and more user control. Hope this helps a bit, Rob Allison
  2. Hello, I haven't heard a solid answer from Minelab USA as of yet, but they are coming. That is about the best I can tell you from what I've been told. I have a bunch of customers that are waiting on backordered SD2200v2's. Hope this helps, Rob Allison
  3. Hey Jim, I talked with Dennis Saturday and he said Ralph was up there. Dennis found like 4-5 nuggets that day. Are you coming out this year? Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  4. Hello H2O, Like Adam stated, most of the ground around Rich Hill is claimed up by BLM Mineral Claims or State Exploration and Mineral Leases. There are a handful of Arizona clubs that are well worth joining. The Roadrunner Prospectors Club, LDMA, GPAA, Weaver Mining District and Y-Knot clubs are the major ones. I would suggest you join a club or two if you want to prospect around Rich Hill without having to worry if you're on someone's claims. You can't beat joining the Weaver Mining District for like $35/year. Hope this helps, Rob Allison
  5. Hello Jen and All, I can almost guarantee that Minelab will be looking at this post. Maybe they will post something here, or send me some information. Will keep you updated on what I hear in the near future. Wishing you the best on your GPX-4500 Jen. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  6. Hello Doug, Congrats on your first GPX-4500 find! I knew it was just a matter of time until you found one. I'm sure there are more in some of your old spots, just work slow and listen for those fainter signals. The GPX-4500 with the Goldstalker 14-inch will find much smaller gold. I've found small gold nuggets right on top of the bedrock that were under a grain in size. I've also found 2-3 grain nuggets (solid ones) down a few inches in highly mineralized ground. Hope to hear more success stories from you in the very near future! Thanks once again for your business. If you ever need anything, I'm only a phone call away. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  7. Hello Grubstake, You will be in my prayers also. Stay strong! Rob Allison
  8. Hello Ian, The Goldstalkers are not waterproof, but Coiltek does make several completely waterproof coils. The 12x8 Platypus Mono or DD has been one of Coiltek's hottest selling waterproof coils. They also make the UFO and Mini UFO Mono's, but they are much larger in size. The Platypus is nice cause it's small enough to crevice the bedrock in Creeks or Rivers. I always have these coils in stock. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  9. Hello J, Not seeing the spot you're talking about, I can you give you some suggestions. I would continue working the creek like you are. Crevice some of the exposed bedrock areas like you have. Take samples from various cracks and crevices if you can. Anywhere the water slows down will be a good spot to take samples (insides bends, where the creeks get wider, bedrock or other obstructions ...). If there are upper benches above the current creek, you might want to sample some of them also. To speed up production and recovery, you might consider a sluice box if the creek is somewhat running. If it's a dry creek, you might consider a small drywasher or vac-pack. Sample ... sample ... sample and then try to figure out the best spots. From there you can figure out if you want to bring in bigger equipment such as a gold dredge to move more material. Hope this helps a bit, Rob Allison
  10. Hello All, I'm glad Steve posted the weights vs. some of the Minelab coils since many customers have asked me about weights on the new Goldstalker's. Matt - Great batch of nuggets you found there with your Goldstalkers. Wish more customers would share their finds with the Goldstalker coils also. Wishing you much more success out there in the goldfields. Keep us updated if you would. AZNuggetBob - Ya, I really favor that Goldstalker 14-inch. I done really well with that coil in the Vulture Mountains exploring new areas. I went back to several recently discovered patches and tried the 18.5-inch over the same spots and didn't find anything. I feel pretty confident with the Goldstalker 14-inch that I'm not missing many nuggets. Goldstone - If you are finding 4+ Gram nuggets, I would say one of the larger coils then. A 4+ Gram nugget is approx 2.5 - 3 Dwts, which is a pretty respectable size piece. If you were finding a lot of 1 Gram minus nuggets I would say probably the 14-inch. The detector model also makes a difference. You will find much smaller gold, and smaller gold at depth with the GP or GPX series over the SD series. H2O Prospector - All the Goldstalkers right now are Mono's. I'm testing a couple DD Goldstalkers as we speak. None of them are waterproof, just water resistant. I would suggest a Mono since I believe you have a SD series metal detector. You will get better depth and sensitivity out of a Mono coil. Talk with you all later, Rob Allison
  11. Hey Steve, I'm not sure how much you have used the new Coiltek Goldstalker series, but they are awesome coils!~ I was really glad Coiltek finally decided to make a lightweight series. My favorites are ... wel they are all favorites, but for overall prospecting I used the 14-inch elliptical. If I know there might be some larger gold around at depth, I've used the 16 and 18-inch coils with some good success. The newest 6-inch round is the most sensitive small mono searchcoil available for the Minelab SD/GP/GPX series. This coil will find much smaller gold than the prior favorite Joey Mono. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  12. Hey Dawn, Did I even get to read it? Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  13. Hello All, Well I'm still in Arizona, but just way from the house. We are still getting plenty of phone calls about the GPX-4500's, not all of them are from different countries. I still have plenty of local guys wanting them, but some are waiting on this mad rush to be over. I see a lot of used Minelab on Ebay right now and they seem to be selling fairly well. Heck, maybe I will place my used GPX-4500 on Ebay for like $4,000 ... any takers? AzNuggetBob - A good friend called this weekend named Shaun. I haven't heard from him in about 2 years since he moved. This friend spent 9 years down in Baja and some other surrounding areas and done very well. I have all the GPS cords and topo's of the area. Would love to make it down there someday, but I'm not sure it's worth getting in trouble. Take care, Rob Allison
  14. Hey Jerry, Thanks for the update. I might have mis-understood you when we talked about the claims. If so, that is my fault and I'm sorry. I think the whole refund deal is a sour subject! Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  15. Hey Jerry (AMC), It was my understanding that last time I talked with you and Tara that you both stated the remainder of the claims have been sold to someone you knew. If this is incorrect, I appologize. However, I'm almost positive this is what you told me that day. I called Dennis and he confirmed you did mention that some people received payment back from Elly. Either way it don't matter, we are neighbors and I guess it's none of our business now. I just feel somewhat sorry for the ones that paid for a lifetime membership and got taken. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  16. Hello Donna, I really thought the 24K Gold Hunters Club was the greatest thing around .... until .... I guess I was mostly upset about the fact other members came to me and told me about the sale of the claims. Being part of Board for many years I thought I would hear something before the members, but it was just the opposite. All the claims are now sold from what I've been told from Southwest Minerals, so the club is done completely! Despite what Southwest Minerals have stated, I don't know anyone that has received their membership money back. If anyone did, why would they get it over someone else, so I believe no one has received a cent at this time. Hopefully no one shows up out there this year hoping to hunt the claims or pushes. Wishing I knew more ... Rob Allison
  17. Hey Guys, Well I'm just passing information around, but the backorder of Minelab GPX-4500's is over 1,000 again. It sure seems like a huge number, but then again we have never had no many potential customers call from different countries, or trying to purchase them here in the US and send them to different countries. Dutchman - You seem to have a bitter taste about Minelab dealers anymore. You make them sound like they are out to ripe someone off. I think a good percentage of the Minelab dealers shoot their customers the honest truth about them. I'm sure there might be a few that stretch the truth a bit to make a sale. Without a doubt, I know you have found a bunch of gold with your GP3000 and hard work. I've seen the spots where you rolled rocks and dug areas up. There probably isn't a metal detector on this Planet that would find some of the nuggets you dug at several foot. However, keep in mind you didn't get everything doing your method. Not everyone has the strong back and endurance it takes to roll rocks and dig trenches and holes several feet deep searching for gold nuggets. I would put my paycheck on it that several GPX-4500's went over the areas you worked and found nuggets you missed. I'm still waiting for one of these $800 PI's to match something that cost in the range of $4000 - $5,000. I will be the first to eat my words when I see it in person! Take care, Rob Allison
  18. Hey Dutchman, That is where all these GPX-4500's are going! Many of these other countries are having modern day gold rushes. Heard of some big nuggets being found over in S. Africa right now. Take care, Rob Allison
  19. Hey Giga, I would say they are the real deal. Looks like he does the same thing I do, hunt until you find a good sounding target and then film it hoping it was a nugget. If you searching for my username "Nuggethunting" you will see the videos I've posted. However, my nuggets are much smaller than his ... Take care, Rob Allison
  20. Hey Doug, Normally around the mid of October it starts to cool down nice. I actually can't wait, as I have a bunch of spots I want to explore. I seen you ask about the difference between the Coiltek Goldstalker and Nuggetfinder Advantage 14-inch. Well I'm not going to start a coil debate, but you already have a 14-inch, so there is no reason to purchase another one and not really do any better. I'm sure if someone did a side-by-side the performance would be very close. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  21. Hey Silver Dog, Thanks for sharing a great story with us. Well I can't say enough about Lucky and Nuggetslayer. Those two guys seems to do everything right, probably why they are finding a bunch of gold! Hey, it might sound silly, but when you're good to others, good things come back around to you. Well even though you didn't find any gold, you now have memories that will never be forgotten. You also got to see what other goldfields good like. If you would ever make it over this way and get those GPX-4500 instructions, I'm certain I can get you over a nugget. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  22. Hello Joe, You will like the White's GM3. I've owned three of them over the years. It's a very sensitive VLF gold nugget detector. Back in the day it was one of the best. The unit will find very small gold, gold specimens and any other type of metal you are searching for. It will take some time to master the manual ground balance (coarse and fine), but I'm sure you and your Son will master it. Feel free to always use this forum if you have questions or just want to chat. Wishing you the best out there, Rob Allison
  23. Hello Guys, I'm also a bit puzzled on the comment. Not sure I understand it either .... We all know Moore Creek was a great place for any type of propsector to find some color. I'm going to miss the place, but knowing Steve he has something else cooking. Hopefully another place we can come metal detect in the future. Take care, Rob Allison
  24. Hey Grubstake, Great to hear you and your Uncle are out there exploring. It will be just a matter of time until you guys are back onto another virgin gold nugget patch. Can't wait to see the pictures .... oh the invite also! LOL ... Dennis and I got out this weekend, but got rained out big time. We still managed to sneak out 1/2 ounce of gold nuggets though. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  25. Hey Nuggetslayer, Congrats on your new nuggets. This is just the beginning with the GPX-4000. You will find much more in old patches. The Sensitive/Extra mode is a killer on multi-pennyweight and smaller pieces at depth. If the mineralization is real bad, give the Sensitive/Smooth timing a go. There are a lot of combinations on the GPX series, so have fun experimenting and digging nuggets with them! Great talking with you today and Thanks for the order. Will get it out ASAP. Wishing you much more luck out there with the new detector. Rob Allison
