  1. Hey Guys, Talked with my White's Electronics rep last night. Due to Miner John's facility burning down in the fire, White's don't sell that model anymore and they now have the Camo and Tan units as the replacement. If someone is interested in one of the Miner John versions, you might be able to find one out there.
  2. Hey Chuck, We are also taking pre-orders on both models, the higher end model is $339.15. We have them both listed here - Nokta Metal Detectors - including the new Simplex+ - https://www.robsdetectors.com/metal-detectors/metal-detectors-nokta-metal-detectors-searchcoils-accessories/
  3. Hey Idaho Jim, I'm trying to get some clarification on this from White's. Right now they are offering this new deal on a White's TDI SL in Tan or Camo with the 8x14" coil + a FREE 7.5" Dual Field coil. https://www.whiteselectronics.com/product/tdi-sl/ (picture below). There was also a previous version of the TDI SL Special Edition that was offering Miner John's 8x12" Folded Mono Searchcoil. I don't think White's still offers this unit, as it's not listed on their site or the price guide. I have seen a few on Kellyco's site and a few others. I think these are the last of what was available out there. The newest model is the ones listed on top. Hope this clears some of the confusion up a bit.
  4. Hey Guys, Obviously I can stop it, but I'm not a big fan of guys like this. You can't respond to any of his Youtube videos, as he know what he is doing is wrong and unethical. He is advertising that it's that easy to go out and find gold (in some places it might be), but the fact he is using fake gold is misleading. There are guys like this selling this crap on Ebay and other market places as real gold, which makes it difficult for the real guys trying to market and sell genuine gold nuggets. Just my thoughts.
  5. Hey Ridge Runner, So I had some customer recently ask me the same question about the Miner John coil and TDI Special. It was my understanding they were not available anymore, but now I see they are back on White's website. I will have to inquire on this before I list them on my store, but if they are available, I can get them. That is correct on the 8x14 High Q coil, plus it shows right now if you purchase a TDI SL, you get a FREE 7.5" Dual Field coil also with the purchase. https://www.whiteselectronics.com/product/tdi-sl/ This is a smoking deal for a entry level, very good PI unit for any gold prospector/nugget shooter. Pass the word around for me
  6. Hey Doug, Thanks for the kind words, we truly appreciate it. We do our absolute best to give any customer the best service we can. Keep in mind, I work a full time job beyond a full time business, so sometimes it might be difficult to catch me during morning or early afternoon hours if my better half is not around. Please use my cell, for quick text questions and I will respond ASAP.
  7. Hey Garik, Like Adam mentioned, you are right in the middle of the San Domingo gold fields. Learning geology is great, but keep in mind, gold is where you find it! I have found gold nuggets in many places that the textbook geology wouldn't favor. That being said, I would prefer to be in a mineralized belt vs. a non-mineralized belt.
  8. Hey Way2cool, I'm not sure if anyone in the US is selling them. They are based out of Australia, so I'm not sure if I could get any. I'll look into it.
  9. Hey Mahbeer Malik, Who's number or email are you looking for? Do you have something you want the forums to view or identify for you?

  16. Hey Guys, Just a FYI, as we are nearing our great prospecting season, we have updated our 2019-2020 Prospector Bundle Packages for the Minelab GPZ 7000, GPX 5000, GPX 4500, Minelab Gold Monster 1000 and the Minelab Equinox 800 metal detectors. Keep in mind, we can customize these packages if needed, but for the most part they fit the majority of what new and seasoned prospectors will need. We are also one of only a handful that offer the 15% Military Discount on Minelab metal detectors. This takes 15% off the MAP purchase price with the proof of a DD214, VA Card or Military ID. All metal detectors purchased from us receive FREE Shipping, Insurance, Signature Confirmation, Packed in high quality boxes and packing material, Lifetime Support and some units have Field Training included (mostly the higher end detectors, but call if you have questions). We would love to earn your business!
  17. Hey Garikfox, I have started on the White's page, but not nearly complete. They have a lot of products, but I can get everything now - https://www.robsdetectors.com/product-brands/whites-electronics/
  18. Hey Guys, I had a few hunting friends that would take their dogs out prospecting and hunting for big game. That being said, they were all training by real Rattlesnakes. One of the guys lost his bird dog, the dog got too close and curious and got struck on the nose and passed a day later. I'm not sure why some dogs trained by Rattlesnakes will still get near them, I guess it depends on the dog and the situation. If I owned a dog and was doing the desert thing with him, I would want to make sure he is trained by a real Rattlesnake(s) if possible. I never realized that the snakes have different smells, but it makes perfect sense.
  19. Hey Guys, I appreciate the comments and feedback. Grubstake - I'm sure your wife appreciates everything you do for her. Man, I sure miss that time we all got together up that way. I wish you were able to get out and detect for gold. Thanks for the invite, that will be a memory Dennis and I will never forget. Dennis from time to time will bring it up, saying they were very interesting gold areas you took us to. Ridge Runner - Thanks, she is doing better each day. I'm here in the office working and stuff and hear her all the time, ROB ..... I need something. Prospecting season is right around the corner from us here in Arizona. I'm looking forward to some overnight campouts in the goldfields this season. GDM/PV - Great story about the mosquitoes. I have to agree with you, about a month ago, our horses got all bitten up by them. This is the worst they have ever been from mosquito bites. I personally haven't been attacked by them like that, but I can see it happening. Beatup - Ya, I'll have to think about another detecting trip. I have tons of stories from back in the day, just have to think about a good one. In the meantime, if you or anyone else has any, post them up. Garikfox - I can tell you have I have some deals in the works. You will see some changes soon on some of the stuff you mentioned. As for the gold, I have thought about posting some smaller test nuggets on my site, just didn't know how well them would sell. I guess I should pull about a dozen out, smaller ones that would be great test nuggets and list them. To add to that, I recommend a very small gold nugget for testing, as you can really get your threshold adjusted to hear those faint targets. A larger gold nugget just screams and defeats the purpose of a test nugget in my opinion. I agree, I need to get my White's products updated. I've been doing a few things around the house along with some cleaning, so I need to start working on the site and getting a few things updated a bit better.
  20. Hey Garikfox, I found that piece a long time ago around the Bumble Bee area. It was a small ravine/wash coming off a hillside. There was minor evidence of old time placering in the very bottom of the ravine. The bottom was loaded with iron rubbish, so I made my way further up the small wash to where the trash and workings disappeared. This is where I found this piece on top of the ground and a small nugget patch that has 40-50 nuggets in it.
  21. Hey Guys, I hate the fact that someone works hard for what they have, while others have no respect or give a shit and think that by ripping off people it's ok. My Father always told me, if you don't have the money, you don't need it. I think a lot of it comes down to parenting, as I know if I stolen something my Father would absolutely kill me. I was more afraid of him and what he would do than any law enforcement officer. My Father also said a lot, "a lock only keeps an honest man honest!"
  22. Hey Guys, I want to Thank everyone for the wishes for my Wife. She underwent surgery earlier this week, nothing serious and everything went well. I took off a few weeks to watch over her, but now I'm going stir crazy. I guess I have time to work on the website and such, but no metal detecting for a week or so. If anyone has any suggestions on anything they would like to see on the online store, forums or anything, let me know and I might be able to work on it this weekend and before the Winter prospecting season kicks off. If you're bored, shoot me over an email or post something. I know someone has some damn stories to tell, with or without pictures ..... LOL Wishing you all the best. The weather is starting to cool down here in Arizona, we are probably less than about a month away from beautiful prospecting and metal detecting weather.
  23. Hey Guys, I stumbled across this video about White's. Josh Bohmker is in it. I believe Josh's Father, Tom Bohmker founded Cascade Mountains Gold in 1976, with the release of his first book, The Gold Panner's Guide to South Dakota. Since then, he has released several more books in this series, focusing on Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and California. Tom has been an active research miner since the 1960's, having researched all over the western United States, Alaska and Venezuela. While is research days are coming to a close, he still loves to get out and check out mining areas with his son Josh and his family as they spearhead new ventures.
  24. Hey Guys, I might have shown this picture below, but it's a neat one. This was a true Sunbaker gold nugget found in Arizona. The geology of this area was interesting and a bunch of nuggets were found after this discovery. It's still out there!
  25. Hey Guys, I agree, great overall video. I found it browsing Youtube. I agree, some great info, but all the fact might not be 100% correct, but overall good listening.
