  1. Hello Spinifex, I thought I might of had it figured out with a Stereo/Mono switch on my headphones. However, it didn't matter what position the switch was in, the volume and signal was the same. I'm not using any type of external speaker(s), just headphones for now. I guess I'm back to square one and will monitor it when it happens again. Hopefully it wont ... Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  2. Hey Vini, I think I might have to upgrade the forum format. This forum doesn't allow dynamic HTML code. I know you want to use the "embeded link," but can't get it to work here. I guess I will just post the URL's for now. Thanks, Rob Allison
  3. Hello All, I can post a YouTube Video here with a link, but can't seen to just post it with the picture when you just click on the video image. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance, Rob Allison
  4. Hello All, Yesterday Leaverite and I took out the quads for a long day of exploring some new gold country. We spent from 7am to 8pm exploring and hunting new spots. We ended up finding several new spots that yielded a few small gold nuggets, but nothing to get real excited about. We now know what areas hold more potential and the ones that don't. Here are the small gold nuggets found yesterday. I found two (one in both pictures) and Leaverite found the two on the right side of the coil. We were both using GPX-4500's with the new Coiltek Goldstalker Lightweight Searchcoils. Take care, Rob Allison
  5. Hello All, Just wanted to take a short moment and "Thank" everyone that has fought for our Country, the United States of America. My blessing and prayers are out there for all the Soldiers on Active or Non-Active Duty and for all the Fallen (never forgotten) that have paid the biggest price for our FREEDOM! GOD BLESS AMERICA!
  6. Hello Montana, Yep, the SD2100 is a very popular detector. Just makes me wonder if Minelab has something new right around the corner that will take the place of the SD2100 and be right in the price range of the upcoming PI's to hit the market? Take care, Rob Allison
  7. Hello Karl, Went out yesterday and explored with the quads from 7am to 8pm at night. I didn't get home until 10pm. Man, I'm beat right now. Seen a lot of new county and Leaverite and I even scored some small gold nuggets in some new spots. We now know where "not to hunt," but have a few new places that we can return to. We both ended up with two small gold nugget each. Both using GPX-4500's.
  8. Hello Karl, Wishing you the same! I decided to stick around today so I didn't have to battle the traffic or any accidents. Always a bunch of idiots on the roads trying to get back in town as fast as possible. Been finding a good bit of gold with the GPX-4500, most of it smaller. Hope we can both score some nice Moore Creek nugget/specimens in a few short weeks. See you in Alaska, Rob Allison
  9. Hello Don, I know you had a Polaris 500 HO and you stated you were going to sell it due to back pain. I was shocked to see you purchase the Polaris 500 EFI like mine. However, this is a great bargain for anyone looking to get a quality 4x4 quad. I can't imagine giving mine back! Hoping you back heals up my friend. Rob Allison
  10. Hello JP, Good question, I will have to check it out. I'm using the DetectorPro Black Widow Headphones, but can't remember if they are mono or stereo. I believe they have a switch that can change them back in forth and now I'm wondering if I accident flipped the swith and it powered on ..... I guess I will do some experimenting later today. Thanks for the tip, never had a problem in the past with them. Will keep you updated, Rob Allison
  11. Hello JP, Just using normal headphones. It done it again today, but regardless I'm finding very small gold with or without it on. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  12. Hey Mike, Give the claim a whirl, I'm sure there are some left. Jim P. was just razzing you, many drive cars to this claim. P.S. Are you using the GPX-4000? Talk with you soon, Rob Allison
  13. Hello Mike, Was that a RR claim I said? Hint: It's located in the Bradshaw Mountains. Take care, Rob Allison
  14. Hello Steve, Will get the paperwork signed. I will also give Dennis a copy this weekend and send them back to you US Priority Mail. Keep an eye out for them if you would. Yep, went back and re-read that Minelab letter and seen when it stated the SD2100 will be discontinued. I believe I have one or two still in stock. Might consider holding onto one of them for awhile. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  15. Hello JP, Haven't experienced that problem as of yet. However, have experienced the booster not coming on though. It happened today and the detector was running very smooth. Later in the day the audio doubled, so I'm thinking the booster came on ... Any suggestions? Rob Allison
  16. Hello Jim, Yep, the patch continues to produce more nuggets with the newer detectors. Many of the nuggets I'm finding now are surrounded by ironstones! The GP3500 and GPX-4000 even in the Sensitive/Smooth mode struggled to find these ones. The GPX-4500 really handles the Bradshaw Ironstones better than any prior detector. I have a bunch of other ironstone patches to revisit. P.S. Picked out 5 more from that patch today. The total is now over 100 gold nuggets from that spot. I'm sure if someone hunted very slowly and gridded the entire patch there would be another 15-20 nuggets to be found. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  17. Hello All, This morning I met up with another GPX customer that came all the way down from Minnesota. I decided to take this customer back to one of my patches where the GPX series detectors seem to continually pluck more gold nuggets. Once we arrive at the patch and started field instructions the rain started pouring down. It wasn't more than about 5 minutes and both of us were soaked. That was only the beginning, his GPX control box screen wouldn't come on, but the detector would power up. He was just limited to the factory preset settings and couldn't really fine tune the GPX. We both decided to weather out this storm, so we stuck around and continued to hunt the patch. Within a few hours I had 4 gold nuggets and the customer found a nice small one even though his screen was down. I'm really impressed with the way the GPX-4500 handles hot rocks with a monoloop coil. I wasn't able to hunt these areas as well with the GPX-4000 and prior. Here are some pictures from today's hunt. Take care, Rob Allison
  18. Hello All, Today I noticed my GPX-4500 was running very quiet and smooth. I didn't have no complaints, but it just seems much more stable than normal at this location. After several hours of hunting I picked up 5 small nuggets, so the detector was running well. However, about an hour later the volume doubled all of a sudden. I believe the booster wasn't working the first part of the day, but for some reason it clicked on later doubling the volume. A friend said he noticed this with his GPX-4500 and had to shut it down and restart for the booster to fire up. Anyone else experience this? Talk with you soon, Rob Allison
  19. Hello Jim P., I would like to try the new Minelab GPX-4500 at that patch. Would be interesting to see what it might turn up behind several SD's, GP's and even the GPX-4000's. What do you think? Rob Allison
  20. Hello Steve, Where did you get the official word of this? I heard rumors about it, but felt it might just be another rumor floating around. I find the SD series to be a very popular and great selling metal detector for the price range. Talk with you soon, Rob Allison
  21. Hello Goldman, Both of those new coils are sleepers! It's tough for me to keep both of them in stock. They are both selling about the same. More searchcoils could be available in the near future. Take care, Rob Allison
  22. Hello Blues Dad, Yep, I believe they still have a bunch of gold along with myself. How much are you willing to purchase? Are you looking for just smaller gold nuggets or stuff maybe over an ounce in size? Shoot me back a PM if you get a chance. Rob Allison
  23. Hello Guys, Mike C. - Thanks! Chuck - Thanks for your comments. I have such a passion for this great hobby and love to treat customers how they should be treated. Thanks for all your loyal support and friendship over the years. 2dach - That picture was taken after about 3 hours in the field. Both ladies were from Ohio, so the heat might have been rough on them. It was a pretty hot and buggy morning, but we got over enough gold to make it fun. They were using an external speaker that I loaned them for the morning. I also used it for field instructions. J.P. - The settings have helped a lot. Wish I had more free time to experiment more with the GPX-4500. From what I've seen so far, I'm really impressed. Thanks for your comments, I just try to do all the right things. Talk with you all later, Rob Allison
  24. Hello Guys, Zippoz - Sure looks like small bits of iron rubbish, but hard to tell from the pictures. Finding small targets like that is a good start, regardless if they are gold or not. Slim - Thanks for your comments. Glad you enjoy this forum, hope to see you posting more in the near future. Take care, Rob Allison
  25. Hello Jim, Thanks for sharing the pictures and story. We all took a bunch of gold out of that spot. Funny, it's been a Roadrunner Claim for at least 15 years and all those nuggets (hundreds of them) were still just laying there to be found. I'm not sure what Glenn, Dennis, Phil and I took from there. Take care, Rob Allison
