  1. Hey Guys, Saturday a partner and I got to beep a new spot, a place we wanted to for a long time, just never made it there. After a whole day of beeping, up until almost evening time, we scored 9.3 Dwt's of gold combined between us both. I was using the new Minelab SDC 2300 and he was using the GPX 5000 with the CT 14-inch Blitz. I was surprised I ended up with the same amount of gold he did, some of the nuggets were down deep. I dug one on the top (which are mine) that was down about 9-10 inches and was 2.3 Dwt's. No question, it's a new patch, not sure how much bigger or what we left running and gunning trying to figure out the boundaries. I have a feeling there is a lunker there due to the nature of the sluggy looking nuggets. Will keep you posted on new finds in the future.
  2. Hey Guys, Gosee (Bill C.), You're welcome. Thanks for the business and wishing you much success out there with both metal detectors. Rick - Let me know how it works for you guys.
  3. Hey Rick, I can't seem to find your shipping address. Call me at 623.362.1459 if you can tonight. Thanks!!
  4. Hey Rick, Since you have been a longtime customer, what if I sent you one to test? If you like it, you buy it, if not, send it back. I haven't been able to test one, they are selling too quickly and had to sell my last one and never got to test it.
  5. Hello All, We just received another batch of the new B&Z Boosters for the SDC 2300. This unit can work on all Minelab's, but many are using them now on the new SDC 2300 metal detector. Take a look at the pictures below. Call if you have any questions or would like to order. We will probably blow through this stock quickly, so act fast if you're interested. We also have another batch of SDC Headphone Adatpers and Covers on the way. Order now - $169.00 with FREE US Priority Mail Shipping in the lower 48 States. 623.362.1459
  6. Hey Guys, I will write more later, but the specimen is an interesting find. It was in place, still in the vein when dug out. The SDC is finding more targets along the vein, the GPX is not. The targets are very possible small, gold pockets. We are going to bring in a small hammer drill and take the vein down. No question there will be more small specimens, but not sure where it will turn up. One of the only true in place veins we have discovered still in place spitting out gold nuggets and specimens still n place.
  7. Hello All, Not a whole bunch to say yet, but both spots are pretty new discoveries. Not a bad hit for the 2015 season with my new SDC 2300 (sold my Demo). The bigger nugget I scored today, which is the biggest I found with the SDC 2300 so far. It weights 13.3 Dwt's, almost 3/4 of an ounce. The other pieces and specimen were from a different area. My partner and I need to get back to both spots, as the rain ran us out of both spots, but we plan on hitting them both hard in the near future. It's out there ..... Rob Allison
  8. Hey Reg, Happy Birthday. Had some great times in the past with this guy. Hope he is doing well. I don't think he watches this forum much though anymore.
  9. Hello Guys, Yep, the "Sadie" is just nickname of the NF 8x6 Elliptical Mono Searchcoil. We always have them in stock, it's a very popular, small searchcoil. Great for tight spots, smaller gold near the surface and works on all the Minelab SD, GP and GPX series. This coil will also work well on the White's TDI series.
  10. Hey Guys, Yep, Steve is a great writing. I haven't read the article quite yet, but looking forward to it. I also heard Bill Southern had an article in it also, but haven't opened the damn cover to see all the contents. I'm sure they are both great reads. I highly recommend the ICMJ, so call Sally and get your subscription in.
  11. Hey Deathray, That's always great to hear. I can tell you what happened in a nutshell, but would like to read what he said at some point. Val purchased a demo CTX 3030 from me on Ebay just recently. I inspected and tested the unit and it worked great. I packed it up very well and shipped it to him. The unit was $1500 with shipping included. He got the unit, assembled it and had an issue with it powering down right after he turned it on. I never had this issue and it was working great when I shipped it, but this is what can happen with electronics and used/demo units. This is one reason I try to stay away from trade-ins, selling used or even demo's unless I know the person. There is always a chance the unit is working great one day, you ship it and the customer received and it don't work. Since I know if I was on the receiving end, I would be a bit discouraged. To make it right, I told Val I would 2nd day Fedex him a new Minelab CTX 3030 and when he received the brand new one he could ship the demo unit back. I will mess with the demo unit and ship back to Minelab for an inspection and repair. At some point I will list that unit for sale again, but I felt I needed to make it right for Val. I paid for shipping and Val will get a new unit for $1500, but hopefully since I took care of Val the word will get around, I guess it already has. I never asked Val to post anything about this issue, but I appreciate him doing so. Bottom line, we take care of all of our customers, always have. Treat others well, they have no reason to ever shop anywhere else!
  12. Hey Tom, When I purchased my quad back in 2007 it had the handgrip warmers. My wife thought it was silly, so did I at first. However, after the first Winter season I seen how important they are. Keeping your hands warm really makes your body much warmer on a quad when it's freezing out. Now I need to get one for the seat .... LOL
  13. Hey Guys, He wanted to share that one of the pictures with 29 nuggets was found in a single day. Congrats on the finds!
  14. Hello All, Just a FYI, I have removed the SDC (Gray and Camo) Control Box Covers and the Headphone Adapters from Ebay and the Online Store. We got hit hard over Christmas for these items, so we are several weeks out on both products. Please email or call me if you want one, as there the manufactures of both of these products are struggling to get them out. I will have another 10-15 of each product in several weeks, so get your name on my backorder list if you need one anytime soon. Thanks! rob@robsdetectors.com - email 623.362.1459 office line
  15. Hello All, Spent the day roaming (hking and quading) around a bunch of new country hoping to discover a new spot. Tried several spots, but just couldn't squeak a nugget out of those locations, but some lead and other iron rubbish. Damn, it was freaking cold this morning, my truck had ice on the windshield and even on the hood. Driving the quad around this morning just about froze me out. Luckily, I was smart enough to bring a sweater and large coat along with my face mask to keep the chill off enough until the Sun broke out. After about a 3-4 hours of exploring new country, I decided to give the SDC 2300 a whirl on some old patches not too far away. I detected another 3 hours or so slowing working some old patches and surrounding areas to discover 12 small gold nuggets. All of them are pretty rough, not too far from the original source(s). The Minelab SDC 2300 is an amazing detector, making it easy to beat the skunk if you're around the gold. My goal was 10 nuggets for the day, I was lucky enough to beat that goal today. Hope you enjoyed. It's still out there ....
  16. Hey Doc, Late Merry Christmas to you!! So I want to share what a great friend Doc is to us (Allison Family). I have known Doc now for at least 15 years, maybe longer. Doc and I knew each other before he was the US Coiltek Distributor for many years. That being said, I was also Doc's first US Dealer if I remember correctly. Well, this year it was a light Christmas for us, trying to spend on the kids and our Daughter rather than everyone else. Doc and I have for years exchanged gifts for Christmas, but this year I didn't send anything (hoping we both would do the same). Well, I felt like shit when I opened a package from Doc and it was a Samsung Tablet ..... Dammit DOC!! How can I not love this guy? He never forgets .....
  17. Hey Jim, Thanks for the long-time friend you have shared with me. Like I have mentioned in the past, you are a long-time mentor of mine, without the use of your books and information over the years, I probably wouldn't be successfully hunting for nuggets right now. You're friend forever - Rob Allison Largo - I have no clue what you mean, I haven't heard of anyone having this issue. Are you on dial-up?
  18. Hey Rick, Great to found someone that will meet up with you. Wishing you both great success there. Let me know on the coil, I can ship it to you up there if needed, or before hand. Talk with you soon,
  19. The GPX 5000 has sold. The GPX 4000 is still available with offers on the table right now.
  20. Hey Tom, Congrats on the nugget! I have seen those melons before, but most of them were down South of Tucson.
