Hello All, This last Saturday a good friend and nuggetshooter and I conducted field instructions for 6 customers. Some of these customers came as far away as New York, Illinois and Colorado. We had two Minelab GPZ 7000 Customers and 4 GPX customers. We spent the first couple of hours going over the detectors and then everyone broke out to metal detecting the area for gold. One customer within 15 minutes with the Minelab GPX 5000 scored a nice quartz and gold specimen, which got everyone pumped up. My field instructor and long time friend brought a nice collection of gold and specimens he found recently. This friend is one hell of a nuggetshooter and really gave the customers some great tips and tricks throughout the day. His display of just nugget gold was well over a pound and then many specimens with random amounts of gold within. Most of the specimens were found with the Minelab Equinox 800, which was very impressive to see. Some didn't have much gold showing, but really screamed out on the Equinox 800 in the Gold Mode. Although the weather was down in the low 40's most of the day with some cloud cover, everyone really enjoyed it. Hey Guys, I agree, the only detectors that will give you a different tone on ferrous/non ferrous metal is a good coin/relic detector. These will allow you to some degree have a different tone on different metals, such as a copper penny vs. a silver coin. All the pure gold detectors for gold nugget detector are pretty much all-metal detectors with very little to no discrimination.

Hey Gary, I will not be in Quartzsite this year, nor the GPAA show in Mesa or Phoenix. Right now there are other things that are keeping me busy and some family health issues. Hey Guys, Dad had the Pancreas biopsy last week, the cells came back "abnormal." We are still waiting for the final pathology report to tell us exactly what it is (cancer/non-cancer or something else). Please continue to keep my Father in your daily prayers if you would. Thanks!

Hey Terry, That is a good one. I always had pretty long legs and long arms, reason I loved Basketball when I was younger. I wasn't any good at it, just average, but I sure enjoyed it. That being said, the long arms allow me to keep that Minelab and coil out away from my size 13 Boots! Shit was year was that? I know that was the Training center that Minelab attempted back in the day that fell apart quickly.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. My Dad is pretty much in his mind accepted it's Cancer of the Pancreas. It's hard to believe someone can be so strong through these times, over and over with my Dad. He's more concerned with how things will be afterwards, like the family being strong. We will find out Thursday what exactly it is and what options are available, if any. I talked with my Dad today again about Salvation. He said stop worrying about it Son, I'm going to be fine and I know where I'm going if that is what God has planned for me now. I just about broke down in tears .... Hello All, Well it's always hard to swallow when you hear back news about anyone's health, especially your own Father. My Father has been plagued with health problems for years, ranging from a Stroke in the Brain, Tumors, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Heart Attack, Heart Bypass Surgery x3 and now potentially Pancreas Cancer. He has been having pain in the lower chest area for some time, he just thought it was heartburn or bloating. My Mother finally convinced him to go to the ER, so they did. They found a 2.5 cm mass on or in the Pancreas. While he was in the Hospital for a few days, they ran a blood test called the CA 19-9, which is a Tumor Marker test for Cancer of the Pancreas. The normal range is 0-37, my Father's came back at around 196. He is going in next week to have a Endoscopic Ultrasound done, where they can get a better look of the Pancreas and other organs in the area, along with taking a biopsy of the Mass. We are asking for prayers for my Father Wayne that the outcome will be more optimistic. It just seems like Dad has never gotten a real break from health issues. I have all my Faith and Trust in the Great Lord above.

Thanks Auwanderer. Now I have to figure out how to specific gravity this piece, it screams on a VLF or even a GPZ on one side. Very little to no visible gold showing on the outside.
