  1. Hey Karl, Not sure if you will have Internet access, but the carekeeper will keep an eye out for you. Looking forward to seeing you again. Hopefully this year everything will go well and you won't have to rush back. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  2. Hey Eldorado, Happy Birthday! On another note, I just wanted to say you're doing an awesome job on jewelry. When I need something make, or know someone else looking, you will be the guy I send them to. Wishing you the best. Rob Allison
  3. Hey Adam, Congrats on the new find. The Goldscreamer Signal Enhancer I sell is tops! I haven't seen anything like it before as far as volume and performance. I sell a crap load of them. Wishing you much more continued success. Rob Allison
  4. Hey Guys, It is a shame to see them cut up large gold nuggets that can yeild more than their weight if sold to the right collector. However, keep in mind, nuggets are only worth what someone gives you for them. I hear all the time this nugget is worth 2-3 times the price .... well it is when someone gives you the money, but until then it's just another piece of precious metal. I'm sure many of those larger nuggets are being sold for 50-75 of their spot value. I have some pictures on the way from a friend, but not sure what they consist of yet. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  5. Hey Guys, I have plans to let AZNuggetBob and some others test the coil before they are released. Right now I have a friend at Stanton, AZ testing another one I have. He is using the GPX-4500 and found about a dozen smaller nuggets with it. He really seems to like the coil on the GPX. Would like to get some more test results from SD and GP users. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  6. Hey Guys, Keep in mind, even though many of these coils show sold, many never collect the funds from the buyer. A dealer called me this weekend from back east and stated he can't sell any of his stuff on Ebay for 2-3 times the price. Well, first off there are a handful of guys that are not selling them for double or triple the costs, so why would someone purchase for 2-3 times when they can get it from another dealer that is only 1 1/2 times? In my opinion, there comes to a point where you have to draw the line. I don't like the idea of doing it cause customers talk and then they find out you charged one guy one price and another guy another price. Take care, Rob Allison
  7. He Hey Ron, Disneyland is one of the greatest places on Earth! We are heading over there next month for a few days. I've always heard good things about Walt Disney and how they operate. Take care, Rob Allison
  8. Hello Dennis, I would say they are the same detector, as the GPX-4500 does have some features (if you know how to use them) that helps in some areas over where I used a GPX-4000. Last weekend I was hunting any area where the Enhance timing help elliminate hotrocks (not completely), but much better than the Special/Smooth, which is on the GPX-4000. I've always told customers if they have a GPX-4000 and want to upgrade to a GPX-4500, they might want to wait one more model. However, some people like the fact of having the latest and greatest, new model. I wouldn't say there is a huge difference between the GPX-4000 and the GPX-4500, but there are some features that could make a difference. P.S. Do you think you would blow an experience GPX-4500 user away on that patch, such as myself as an example? Just curious ... Hope this helps, Rob Allison
  9. Hello AzNuggetBob, The coil runs excellent on the GPX-4500. I have another test coil that a friend is using now in Goldbasin and doing well in some old patches. He hasn't found any huge, but 1-2 Dwt's a few inches deeper. I personally used the coil I shipped to Lucky and Co. here on my GPX-4500 and it ran great. I will the coil over to you once it's returned from Matt. I don't anyone has used the SD2100 or SD2200 on this coil yet, so it will be interesting to hear how it will run on those units. Yes, I appreciate all honest reports. No reason to "Sugar Coat" any field reports. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  10. Hey Lucky, Jeff and Matt, Thanks for testing the coil and giving your honest opinion about it. I think I need to get it over to some more guys that have other detectors besides the GPX-4500's. The new coil seem to run very stable on GPX-4500's, so I need some other non-4500's users to test it and report back. Wishing you all the best. Rob Allison
  11. Hey OffRoad, Great talking with you again. Yes, we can get out like I promised when you purchased the GPX-4000. Talk with you soon, Rob Allison
  12. Hey Guys, What most of them are doing is purchasing one detector for like 3-4 guys. One guy will detect while the others watch out for him. The minute they see trouble coming, they jump in the truck and take off. They also won't dig any good targets. They will locate them and come back at night and dig them up when they can see trouble coming from miles away (normally headlights). I got to see a picture of a 2.2 Kilo nugget they just found. As you seen in the Youtube video, they will also split everything they find. They give part to the vehicle, fuel and food, then the other parts to the guys that are there. I've been told they are still getting top dollar for the gold nuggets. The gold buyers will even give you US dollars if you request them. Take care, Rob Allison
  13. Hello Offroaddriver, I would be really careful on what the BLM tells you where you can/can't detect. Do you think they are going to go to court with you if you get arrested? If the minerals were lifted from somewhere, there are reason behind this. Also, Wildlife Refuges are off limits to prospecting and metal detecting. Keep in mind, some of these agencies have more juridiction when it comes to the law over local law enforcement officers. Just don't want to see you get in a bind somewhere. Rob Allison
  14. Hello Guys, Minelab is moving the main US headquarters to Chicago from what I've been told, but they are still keeping the facility in Las Vegas. I haven't heard of any Superstores? I can't see them opening up a store when they have hundreds of dealers throughout the US. Take care, Rob Allison
  15. Hey Kid, Very nice find! Are you still working the mine dumps? Wishing you much more success. Rob Allison
  16. Hey Guys, Without a doubt, a stable metal detector is important. However, you have to also understand running a very quiet detector sometimes means trade-offs. I know for a fact on the GPX-4000 if you're running Quiet Audio along with Sensitive/Smooth you're missing larger nuggets at depth. I've done enough testing and hated that fact, but loved the quietness of the detector in those settings. Speaking of EMI, some places here in Arizona are funny. You can have a quiet detector one day and return the next and have tons of EMI that you can't tune out. I'm not sure what does this, but with all the EMI you're probably going to miss dinks that are down a few inches and larger nuggets at depth. I prefer to run a quiet detector knowing I might me be missing a few here and there, rather than listening to all the chatter in the background that drives me nuts! Regardless of the coil, some great information has been posted here. The coil will have it's place as I've done very well with it. Hope to get more good information posted. Rob Allison
  17. Hey Grubstake, Is "Tailgate" that old already? Without a doubt, I would almost bet California had nuggets like that being discovered. Many of the best finds never got reported and were probably melted down. Sudan is a very rich State in gold and other precious minerals. Rob Allison
  18. Hello Sean, You are very right about any detector finding those chunks. However, even though that ground looks like just sand, it's extremly mineralized from what I'm told. Some of the big nuggets are being found near the surface cause the area is so rich and virgin, but many more experienced detectorist over there are finding bigger, deeper ones. I just wrote a more advanced setting sheet for these guys to help them in the field. Just think the US was like that at one time .... probably about 300 years ago! Rob Allison
  19. Hey Doc, Before it's all said and done thousands of Goldstalker coils will be sold. Someone I know is now on the ground over there hunting said he has a video of a guy digging a nugget at over 3 foot deep. He promises he will send the video over soon, but at this time the area is a secret. He said the nugget was well over 100 ounces solid! Many of the nuggets are being found near the surface, but the more experienced guys are using larger coils, such as the Goldstalker 18.5-inch elliptical to find larger nuggets at depth. Yes, this big nuggets from what I'm told was found by a Goldstalker searchcoil. I've had many invites from these guys, but I'm too scared to attempt it. It's great to hear that the coil of choice in Sudan is the Coiltek! Take care, Rob Allison
  20. Hello All, A friend of mine that lives over in Sudan said I need to watch this. He said, Rob this is why there is a huge rush for GPX-4500's. I guess when you find a big one, you have to split it with friends! He said this is nothing, you need to see what they are finding. some are finding over a hundred ounces per day. Check out this Youtube video - Take care, Rob Allison
  21. Hello Clay/Ruby, Very .... very nice! I would like to see one like that on Rich Hill. Keep up the great work. Rob Allison
  22. Hello All, I would have to agree with Terry, Bob and Doc. If you look at the bidding you will see the guy that started the auction re-bidded on his same auction. These guys just play the game to keep jumping the price up making you all think someone is really trying to purchase the coil or detector. I actually have the last batch of Goldstalker 18.5-inch coils from Doc. I could end this maddness right now by placing a coil on Ebay for $454.00. I don't trust Ebay or Craig's List and don't even visit the sites anymore. There are nothing but scammers and fraud on Ebay. I trust the prospecting forums more than any of these sites anymore for selling or buying. Rob Allison
  23. Hey Guys, Without a doubt, the Goldstalker coils are very sensitive. To be honest, I don't even use anything smaller than the Goldstalker 14-inch elliptical anymore. I can find nuggets just as small as I could with the Minelab 8-inch round or Joey on my GPX-4500. The GPX-4500 is a different animal when it comes to sensitivity. On prior detectors to get max sensitivity to small 1-2 grain nuggets you would have to resort to smaller mono coils. With the GPX-4500 I can find just as small with larger coils using different settings. As far as this new Goldstalker coil that is being tested, it's running excellent on the GPX-4500's. I don't have any prior detectors anymore, so not sure what it's doing on them. I would think it would run just as good as I have yet to hear a complaint about the new Goldstalker Mono's. Don, I will let Doc post about the coil size and such. I think it will be a hot seller though due to a prior Coiltek coil that was similar (hint ... hint). On another note, if have plans on getting a Goldstalker soon, you better order it right away. We are getting huge orders of coils to be shipped overseas right now. I would hate to see local customers waiting for coils like the whole GPX-4500 fiasco. Take care, Rob Allison
  24. Hello John, Thanks for the update. I've been hearing this from a few friends of mine that spend time prospecting in and around the Greaterville area. One friend said a Forest Ranger told him he would be cited if he parked more than 10 foot off the road, regardless if there was a road leading to a small camping area. Not sure I want to even go back down there and deal with that Forest Service crap! Rob Allison
  25. Hello JP, Well first I want to wish you a Happy Birthday my friend! Hope you find a big huge nugget for your birthday. On another note, thanks for always being a great friend and contributor here on the forums. All my customers have really enjoyed your "GPX-4500 Overview" you wrote for me. Wishing you and your family the best. Rob Allison
