Hey Tom, Congrats on your nice nugget find. I managed to take customers out Saturday, one guy snagged a little one, I got a little one also. One of the guys was involved in a early hunt for the Dutchman's Gold, so it was interesting listening to stories going way back and the stuff he discovered that is now hidden. Sunday, a partner and I done some exploring in a new area. I found 4 solid rough nuggets, one was 4.1 Dwt's, for 5.2 Dwt's total. I also found a huge, approx. 50 lbs piece of quartz that is screaming!!! No visible gold showing unless you use an eye loupe, but it has a good amount of gold inside. Guess i'm going to have to bust it up .....

Hey Alchemist, Wow, Thanks a million for sharing the video. A lot of times I find myself not using the ring, but after seeing the video I seen the importance of potential ferrite dust in the iron soils. I seen the caption on the video also mentions the ring being used for the SDC. I haven't heard of this, so do you feel this could help also on the SDC or even other Minelab PI's?

Jared, The price is not too bad. I sold a like new GP Extreme about 6 months ago for $1500.00. It has all the accessories, whoever owned it never hardly used it. One of the best ones I ever received in a trade deal. $1200 is a fair price, just keep in mind, Minelab don't repair the SD or GP series anymore. If you have issues, you might have to try to find someone outside of Minelab to repair, if possible. There is a guy here in Chandler, AZ, a contracted Minelab repair guy, but he mentioned to me he don't repair GP series detectors. Just something to consider and maybe a way to get him to bring the price down a bit more in case something would happen in the future. Minelab are know to last forever to be honest, but there is always that chance. You could pay $1000.00 and the unit last forever, or the first flip of the switch to power it ON, it goes bad.

Hey Chuck, Ya, I don't think there is any difference besides the size of each Coiltek Elite. The difference is going to be the smaller is able to work in tighter spots and more sensitive to the smallest piece of gold. The 14-inch Round is all purpose coil (one of my favorite sizes) and the 17x11 for a bit more coverage and probably slightly more depth. From the sounds of it, I have the 11 and 17x11's on this order coming by the end of this week or early next week. I don't have the prices right off hand, but the moment I get them I will let everyone know.

Hey Ray and Steve, I really appreciate the great field reports on the new Makro Gold Racer. I have a handful of guys that are interested in the first shipment to arrive in the US. I'm hoping to have a release date and price soon as Steve mentioned. Sounds like an exciting new gold detector. The Makro Racer and the Makro Pinpointer are both great products, so I know outside of the field reports it will be good.

Hey Dave, I think you mean the 12-inch Round Evolution coil by NF, right? That coil is being field tested right now, it should officially be released here in the next couple of weeks from my understanding. I have a few customers already down for a pre-order on this unit.
