  1. Hey Mike, I have heard of similar type reports with certain coils, no manufacture specific. Not sure if that means anything or not. Let us know what Minelab tells you if you would. Thanks! Rob Allison www.robsdetectors.com
  2. Hey Andy, I don't advertise the unit as giving better performance, but more of the convenience issue. You can be wireless if you Doc's Slimline external speaker, so everything is mounted to the side of the metal detector, no power cords, headphone cord or harness involved anymore. I sell hundreds of these units, so in my opinion the fact you can lay the detector down and get away from it is worth it. That being said, the system does have a built in Doc's Goldscreamer Signal Enhancer, so this will lighten up the faint, whisper targets that might be deeper nuggets! Two systems available, the SD/GP system, 4 pin for $469.00 or the GPX, 5 pin system for $469.00. Both are complete kits, if you want the added Slimline speaker its' $499.00 for the kit. Hope this helps a bit, Rob Allison www.robsdetectors.com
  3. Hey Andy, I will let you tell the story. Congrats on the nice nugget with the new coil you purchased from us. Always nice to pay for the coil and part of your detector with one, single nugget! Let us know the details again, weight of nugget, depth, detector used and most importantly the location ..... LOL
  4. Hello All, I have a referbished Minelab Explorer SE Pro Metal Detector that came from Minelab. This is the last one available. I had three, sold the other two to coin/relic hunters back east. I thought about holding onto this one, but decided to sell. The unit is like new as you can see from the pictures. The normal price on this unit is $1299.00 and some are still selling the last of them at this price. I'm asking $900.00 for this unit. Call me at 623.362.1459 if you're interested.
  5. UNIT HAS SOLD! Hello All, Here is a used Minelab GPX 4500 Metal Detector I'm placing for sale. I will let it run a few days here then list it on Ebay. The unit runs great, took it out for a full day of testing and everything is sound. Comes with everything you see in the pictures. GPX 4500, stock 11-inch DD coil, Commander 15x12 Mono coil, car charger, two power cords, two li-ion batteries, carry case, harness, external speaker. I don't have the original box, as it was a trade in unit. Asking $2000.00 firm. Give me a call at 623.362.1459 if you're interested. I don't expect to have it around long at this price and some of the extras (li-ion battery at $441).
  6. Hello All, Many have asked about when this coil will be in stock, so it's now available. I have only a limited supply to start, to first come first serve on these guys. Some great reports from Australia so far on them. I have them listed on Ebay and my online store at - http://www.robsdetectors.com/coiltek-18-inch-round-mono-elite-searchcoil A Coiltek baseball cap is included along with a Coiltek bag.
  7. Hey Nevada Brian, Thanks for sharing your finds with the new NF Evolution 17x13. I agree with Roo, the new Flat Wind coils are really enhancing the performance of all PI's, especially the GPX series. I should have some 15-inch Evolution's in a few weeks.
  8. Hello All, Talking with a couple of customers in California, they said it was raining hard and the weather was heading this direction. Was hoping some of the Arizona creeks might get some more water for dredging, but looking at the forecast it don't look like much coming our way.
  9. Hey Chuck, I don't think so. I have been asking about the availability, but still haven't gotten an answer. I will have the Racer and Gold Racer available at the show.
  10. Hello All, As most probably know by now that we (Rob's Detector Sales) will have 4-5 booths set up at the upcoming GPAA Gold Show in Phoenix on March 12th and 13th. We will have a few new GPX 4500's to sell and I know many have asked me about them and the availablity. If you're looking, make sure you hit me up at the GPAA Phoenix Gold Show! The price is still $2699.00 on them, which is a smoking deal along with the GPX 5000 Pro Package at $4000.00. Just wanted to let you now. Rob Allison www.robsdetectors.com
  11. Hey Billy, How was the show? I heard Saturday was pretty good, but Sunday was really slow. I'm hoping for a good showing March 12th - 13th here in Phoenix.
  12. Hello All, Couple of messages through the forums on the GPX 4500. Contact me soon if you're serious, I have a number of guys asking about it. I'm not going to lower the price, the price is firm and well worth it. Call me at 623.362.1459 to lock the deal down.
  13. Hello All, I have a couple of items for sale. (1) Used, in good condition, Minelab GPX 4500 Metal Detector. Includes all stock accessories and 11-inch DD coil. Extra accessories include Minelab Commander 15x12 Mono coil, extra li-ion Battery & extra power cord. This unit was purchased through me about a year ago and still has a few years on the warranty. I'm asking $2200.00 Shipped or for local pick up. The extra battery is a $441 purchase, the extra coil is $350, so there are plenty of extras that make this price a good deal. (1) Keene 4-inch Double Sluice Pontoon Dredge, with Hooka setup. Includes the Honda 6.5HP engine, pump, Hooka, T80 Compressor, swivel nozzle, regulator, air tank, flare and other parts. Excellent dredge, purchased about 4 years ago, only used about 6 times. Original purchase was over $4,000 with the extras. I'm asking $2500 if you pick it up in person. Questions on either item, call me at 623.362.1459 or 602.909.9008. Both items are well worth the price.

  15. Hello All, Well I'm not educated enough to know why Minelab is reducing prices, just the fact it had sparked sales for the customers that were always a few thousands away from a high end PI. It's good and bad I guess. No question it had hurt the used market, as you can get used GPX units for as low as $2000.00. The GPX 4500 that was recently selling for $2699.00 is no longer available in the US for now. All GPX 4500's are being shipped overseas. Sounds like there is another minor gold rushing going on in some of the smaller regions of Africa again. Just to confirm, the GPZ 7000 effective the 27th of Feb 2016 is now a MAP price of $7,999.00. We are still offering the 15% Military Discount on this price, so that will take another $1200 off the $8000.00 price. This is also for the GPX 5000, 15% off the $4000.00 will get you into a new GPX 5000 Pro Package for $3400.00. A US Military ID or DD214 is required for the 15% off. Rob Allison www.robsdetectors.com
  16. Hey Ray, Excellent pictures and story. Thanks for sharing with us. Rob Allison
  17. Hello Dakota Slim, I would agree to an extend on both sides. The reduced MAP price is helping new customers that couldn't get into the market before, an opportunity now at a reduced cost. The flip side is resale value of customers that purchased at the higher MAP price. If a customer purchased at $5995.00 (or $5795.00) a year ago, but needed to sale for whatever reason, the new prices are going to drastically hurt that resale value.
  18. Minelab GPX 5000 Pro Package Now for $4000.00 Shipped That is right folks, Minelab Americas has recently reduced the MAP price on the Minelab GPX 5000 Pro Package from $5995.00 down to $4000.00 starting now. There will be a huge demand for this metal detector since it's one of the top of the line PI's for gold nugget hunting. You can also apply a 15% Military Discount towards the $4000.00 price with the proof of a DD214 or Military ID. We here at Rob's Detector Sales are also offering FREE shipping, Arizona Field Training and Unlimited Support beyond the sale. If you've been waiting for the best deal around and want the best support and service, give us a chance to earn your Minelab business and we promise to give you 100% satisfaction! 19. Hey Old Tom, Believe it or not, my cousin and I played this trick on his Father (my Uncle) many years ago when he first started swinging. It was funny at first, he went nuts, but after that he wasn't happy when he realized it wasn't real gold .....
  20. Hey Californiagold, Damn what an embarrassment .... I thought you bought one from me. Just too many people to keep a log on anymore .... Ya, I think the 18-inch Coiltek Elite will be a great coil for more depth and coverage on the GPX series.
  21. Hey Afriscot, That was an amazing hit, too bad I wasn't able to join in. I know with enough research and footwork like before, many more patches like that will be found. I think we need to plan a few more 2-3 day camping trips and explore the region a bit more. Funny, the area isn't know much for Lode Mining, but the amount of undocumented placer workings is amazing. Thanks for sharing the photos. Until the next patch discovery, keep the searchcoils swinging!
  22. I ran a short poll to see if you're attending the upcoming Phoenix GPAA Gold Show on March 12th and 13th at the Arizona State Fairgrounds. We will be setting up 4-5 booths there and would love to see you all that are attending. Show Location is at the State Fair Grounds, 1826 W. McDowell Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85007 For more information - http://www.goldprospectors.org
  23. Hey Tortua, No, they are both painted pieces. They are not real nuggets. The entire deal is a prank, funny to an extent, but the finder really thinks he has some lunkers. P.S. Anytime you want to play that prank on me with a solid, real 2 ouncers I won't mind!
  24. Hey Afriscot, Long time since we have heard from you. Ya, the Black Nuggets are interesting to see as you don't find many of them out there. Some have mentioned a growth on them, maybe some type of micro biology stuff.
