  1. Hey Tortuga, No more pointy fingers "as one used to say!" Congrats on the nugget find. You're doing well with the GPZ, just wait until you hit a very good patch, you will be in high heaven!
  2. Hey DigDeep, Great to hear from you. Hope all is well. I see a lot of your Motorcycle stuff on FB, but thought you might be out of the "chasing gold game." Wishing you much luck out there. Hope you and your Dad are doing well. Keep in touch with us.
  3. Hey Tom Jr. & Sr. Congrats that pops found that nice nugget. I think its awesome you and your Dad hunt together. P.S. Finally some coil covers in for the Elite's. Sorry it took forever, you might have gotten one already.
  4. Hey Gravelwasher, Great looking nugget with character. Congrats on the big find! The Coiltek Elite's are smoother and get great performance. Definitely selling many more of them since the reports are now out on the forums and friends are telling friends. Thanks for sharing!
  5. Hey Tortuga, I will take that any day of the week. Congrats on another find with the GPZ. Wishing you many more nuggets this year.
  6. Hey Matt, A couple of these customers that can't find new GPX 4500's or GPX 5000's have mentioned they have purchased used units in the range of 2-3K. They are mostly interested in new, but listing your GPX 5000 might surprise you. When the demand is high and the supply is low (like now), some might even be willing to purchase for a higher price. Hope all is well on your end.
  7. Hey AuWanderer, I think you will be pretty happy with that choice. Great reports coming in. Let me know when you're ready. You can order online, Ebay or give us a call. Wishing you well.
  8. Hello All, Not too long ago Peg purchased a Minelab GPZ 7000 from us. She scored this nice 8.6 Gram nugget with the GPZ not long after the purchase. This is what Peg had to say after the discovery - Thanks for the business Peg. Wishing you many more nuggets under the new GPZ 7000 searchcoil.

  11. Hey Dakota Slim, Yep, many of them don't have them in stock. I pulled my Ebay ads just for the fact I didn't have the product in stock. Majority of the ads don't have the inventory, but they will hold the funds until the customer request a refund for not having the stock or the units arrive. Would be nice if each dealer had 50-100 units in stock right now. We all could make a few bucks.
  12. Hello All, As many might know right now there is another mini gold rush going on in Mauritania, Africa. This has caused a Worldwide search for Minelab GPX4500's, GPX 5000's and GPZ 7000's. Since most of all the Minelab PI's are not available right now, the next best think is the Garrett ATX. Garrett is pretty much out of the ATX now due to this rush, so now they are searching for some of the top of the line PI's. If you had a couple hundred GPX units you could make a fortune right now. The customer's have huge amounts of cash, but there is no product to be sold ..... No ETA on Minelab metal detectors at this time. Local customers will not have much of a chance to purchase during these times, luckily it's somewhat out of our normal season as it's getting a bit warm here in the Southwest. I personally have 2-3 local customers searching for units to be used here in the US on our ground. They can't even get a detector right now due to this rush. Some great reports of nuggets well over a Kilo in size being found right now in Mauritania. A few guys searching for detectors over there have pictures, just waiting for them to arrive. A rush like this, but much larger started around 5 years ago in Sudan and surrounding regions. Makes you wonder if this rush will get larger over time. I will not take funds in advance if I have no solid ETA on a detector's arrival date. Unlike others, some dealers are holding customers funds and not offering refunds when they have no ETA on detectors. We have pulled the GPX series and GPZ series from our Ebay store and Online store so you can't order without contacting us first to verify inventory or date of arrival. Hope you understand our position on this.
  13. Hey Guys, Thanks for the comments. It's just good to get out again. Was hoping for a hunt tomorrow, but looks like that got put off. Not doing much Creek hunting, all of these nuggets were found on high benches or the hillside slopes.
  14. Hey Californiagold, Ya, it's been a good year or so since I have ran the GPX 5000 (outside of training customers). That being said, these new Elite coils are amazingly quiet. The last time I was running the GPX, I was using the Coiltek Blitz coils, which were great. However, the Elite's are much smoother and get great performance from what I have seen so far using my GPX 5000. I'm pretty confident with the GPX 5000 and the 14-inch Coiltek Elite, I won't miss too much gold that I can't come back at some point and re-hunt with the GPZ. Thanks for always sharing your finds. Always great see finds and read stories from other people around the US and other Countries.
  15. Hello All, Nothing to get real excited about, just some more nuggets added to poke. I'm back swinging the GPX 5000 with the Elite coil, as a customer just had to have my GPZ 7000 due to the backorder status on them. I'm happy with the GPX 5000 right now, but do miss the GPZ. Here are a few nuggets. Biggest is just shy of 1/4 ounce.
  16. Hey Doc, Happy Birthday Long time friend. To be honest, we have known each other so long, I can't remember how or where we met? I believe it was over one of the earlier gold forums back 10+ years ago. I found his picture from one of our outing with the Stud Muffin's.
  17. Hello All, A friend and customer of mine emailed me about this product he picked up from Ebay for like $7.00. He said it was a life-saver. You can read his comment below, but for a backup for your li-ion battery system, this might be the ticket. For the price, you could just toss it in your bag as backup and if something happened you would have it and load up 6 AA batteries. Here is the Ebay link to the product. Would like to hear some feedback if anyone else has used this product or something similar. http://www.ebay.com/itm/231734169911?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  18. Hey Guys, Thanks for the comments. Kind of got me excited again to get back into the field. Lost some motivation I guess ..... Tom - No I don't think so. I check my emails about a dozen times per day. I must have missed it.
  19. Hello All, Went out this weekend to search for gold nuggets. It's been a much needed trip, just been swamped with stuff around home. Spent the entire day swinging and managed among the rubbish these nuggets below. Total of 16 Dwt's, largest just over 1/4 ounce. It's still out there, but I'm feeling it now. It's amazing how you don't go out for a bit, then go out and you're really sore the next day. Damn, I'm getting old .....
  20. Hey Tom, I have heard stories over the years of hunters claiming they found gold wedged between the teeth of a Javalina. I never seen it personally, but always something to think about.
  21. Hey Californiagold, Excellent videos of the new Coiltek Elite Searchcoil. Congrats on your success with them!! Keep us updated on new finds with the new coils. Some great reports from others outside the forum world also on these new coils. I now have them all in stock, including the new 18-inch Round. Keep up the good success. Rob Allison http://www.robsdetectors.com
  22. Hey Andy, Sold several already, so will be interesting to hear the reports at some point. Californiagold has posted some decent Youtube videos on another tread showing some of the performance of both.
  23. Hey Cowkiller, Congrats on more GPZ 7000 finds. I heard you picked up some decent ones at the last outing, but you hunted 18 hours a day .... LOL I remember those days, Gung-Ho for nuggets!
  24. Hey Andy, Jumping around those boulders might get you a Black nugget or two ....
