  1. Hey Guys, A customer of mine purchased a detector from me many years ago. He has a claim down from this operation a few miles. He said he has done excellent dredging for gold in the creek. I agree, great video of some very nice coarse gold.
  2. Hello All, Here is a great video on the Nolan Placer. Some pretty good sized gold nuggets from the area recovered from this operation.
  3. Hey Guys, My favorite all around setting has been "Special-Sensitive/Extra. Like Brian mentioned, Sharp is also a great timing for very deep gold. Never hurts to experiment with different timings to find out what works best.
  4. Hello All, Just a friendly reminder as many have asked about when these unit will be back in stock. We now have a pretty good stock of the following detectors - Minelab GPX 4500's - $2699.00 Minelab GPX 5000's - $4000.00 Minelab GPZ 7000's - $8000.00 Garrett ATX and ATX Deepseeker packages If you're looking for know someone, we have them now for at least a short time frame.
  5. Hey Guys, I spent most of my early gold prospecting years behind a dredge and couldn't imagine even hitting several ounces. The best day I had dredging here in Arizona myself was about 8 Dwt's. Several years back a few partners and I found a nice spot on shallow bedrock where we picked up over an ounce in a weekend. Most of that gold was small nuggets from 2-3 grains to several Grams in size. This was freaking exciting for me, but the area finally got claimed up as we waited too long to file. I didn't have any pictures from the previous 150 ounce crevice article.
  6. Hello All, Here is a neat article about a guy that found 150 ounces of nuggets in one crevice. You can click the article link below to read the entire store. The article is off of Western Mining Alliance's website, which I believe is Brandon Rinehart's. http://theminingalliance.com/articles/article_crack.html
  7. Hey Tom, Like I tell many, it's a process of elimination. You now know where not to hunt on your next trip out. Its one of those things, if you didn't hunt it, you might always be thinking about it. Wishing you better luck on the next trip out.
  8. Hello All, Ya, not 100% certain the price, but there are a few rumors that Minelab might discount the 19-inch coil to anyone that purchased their Minelab GPZ 7000 at the $10,000 MAP price. Not $8,000 MAP or less.
  9. Hey Dave, Now that you mentioned that, it does ring a bell. I do remember hearing about that King Tut nugget.
  10. Hey Guys, Yes, we are taking pre-orders and I have about a dozen on order right now. Not sure on the price, but one site mentioned $1500.00 ..... OUCH! Here is a picture of the 19-inch GPZ 7000 Searchcoil.
  11. Hey Cowkiller, They still are on pre-order. I'm sure it's coming soon, I have a good batch of them on order. The moment I hear something I will let everyone here on the forums know. I have done some searches to see if there are any images on the web yet, nothing to be found.

  14. Hey Sasquatch, I'm positive we are talking the same guy. I never met him, just knew of him. I even heard rumors many years back that the piece never truly came from Arizona, but rather a old mine in Montana. Who knows, but rumors fly when a big nugget is found. Either way it's a beautiful piece of gold.
  15. Hello All, It's been crazy keeping detectors in stock, but just wanted to let anyone know that is still searching I have a few new Minelab GPX 5000's and a few Garrett ATX Deepseeker packages in stock. I don't expect to have them beyond this weekend, so first come first serve on them.
  16. Hey Guys, Trying to get some clarifications on the new GPX 5000 configuration. I heard it was coming with 3 coils, 11-inch DD, 11-inch Mono and the 15x12 Mono. However, this is what was attached in a recent email from Minelab Americas to me - I think they are going away with the Pro-Pack, and including the 15x12 in the package just like the 4500's were coming. That being said, anyone searching for a new Minelab GPX 5000, I have several in stock.
  17. Hey Guys, It's a great nugget. I never met Bud in person, but heard a lot of good things about him. It's still out there, I guess.
  18. Hello All, Here is an interesting video of the XP Deus working in Africa. Hard to tell in the video, but curious if that is shallow bedrock they are working, or the nuggets are just in the clay/mud near the surface.
  19. Here is the picture below of the great looking piece. Always nice to see some large Arizona gold. I heard around Dolan Springs area, but not 100% certain. Others guys might have heard rumors or know the general area better.
  20. Hey Uncle Ron, Yes, still poking around there. Access now in most places is tough. A lot of new claims popped up along with all the larger mining operations.
  21. Hey Guys, Here are some updates from a few customers that have boots on the ground right now. A lot of gold being found, but mostly by poor natives using detectors from $400 units to GPZ 7000's. Some groups are investors getting large amounts of native to prospect for them, others are groups of families going in on one detector in hopes they find some gold to split among them. Some of the mining permits are over $1000 to swing a detector now set up from the Government. Basically the reason for the cheaper PI's, like the GPX 4500. You can purchase a GPX 4500 now for $2699, but once it arrives over there, you have to get the mining permits that cost up to $1000 and can be used for 5 detectors. Just a way the Government can collect funds now on people detecting. One of my friends said you don't want to get caught without the permit! All sounds great when there are Kilo sized pieces and bigger being discovered, but like anywhere the "beans and bacon" of the gold for most of the prospectors is smaller, Gram sized gold nuggets. The regions is surrounded by ISIS, from what a friend said. You can be in the wrong place at the wrong time, being the wrong nationality and killed on site. Not sure I would want to risk the fact you always have to be watching out and worried about some kind of campaign breaking out in the region you're at. Here is a picture from a friend to give you an idea of what is being found.
  22. Hey Doc, Finally got some more updates from a few guys that are using them. Once guy said he kept getting the "Overvoltage" to the coil on his GPX unit. You might be correct, slightly too much voltage could cause this message to pop up and you won't be able to detect. The other guy has a GPX, but he don't have issues. Not sure, but I think from what I heard, it might be safe to stay away from this product with a GPX for now. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
  23. Hello All, Yesterday a partner and I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and get out and swing a bit. Luckily, it only sprinkled a few times, not enough to get us too wet. We both concentrated on a large section of exposed bedrock, but loaded with rubbish. After a long hunt, this is what we turned up. Biggest piece is over a Dwt and around 4 Dwt's total weight. We both were using Minelab GPX 5000's with Coiltek Elite Mono Searchoils. It's out there .....
  24. Hey Uncle Ron, Thanks for running the contest here on the forums along with other forums. Was driving through Wickenburg yesterday and Dennis asked about you. Hope you're still out doing a bit of nuggetshooting. Thanks for always being a great friends, major contributor on the forums and making great Custom Maps. Make sure you visit Ron's Custom Arizona Gold Finding Map website for a ton of custom maps and information - http://www.az-gold.com/
  25. Hey Guys, I made the correction, but heck 6, 7 or 8 grams, it's all nice gold! Congrats to Peg and her recent success. Looking forward to making contact with her next year here in Arizona for more info on the GPZ. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns on the GPZ 7000 Peg.
