  1. Hello All, I have a long time friend wanting to sell his Minelab SD2100. He found a lot of gold with this unit back in the day. It's missing some minor parts like the powercord and probably needs a new battery for the Pocket Rocket System. He wanted me to toss this picture on the forums and see if anyone is interested in buying it from him. You can text message Jim at - 1-660-342-4116 Make him an offer if you're interested.
  2. Hey Guys, Ya its kinda wield as the ground seems pretty solid and they brought over the excavator and it was having trouble digging out the target. I think it was a gold nugget, but we didn't get to see that clip. I could be wrong though .....
  3. Hey Whitebutler, My GPZ 7000 was one of the first ones in the US. At that time we didn't have the Yellow Ground Balancing Ring, nor the new update. I hunted for about 6 months without either and found a bunch of gold and the unit ran smooth. I finally got a Yellow Ferrite Ring and done the update, but didn't notice any difference in performance. Probably worth doing the update and using the Yellow Ground Balancing Ring at some point.
  4. What happened to the screaming deep target though? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UY2IPQE2zZM
  5. Hello All, Recent change to the Minelab GPX 5000's. Now there is a new part number 3300-0420 which gives you both the Minelab 11-inch DD and 15x12 Elliptical Mono Commander Searchcoils in the stock box. You "no longer" get both 11-inch coils. All new purchase will no longer include the 11-inch Commander Mono.
  6. Hello All, Two new coils were just released from Nugget Finder. These are the new Evolution Series coils, 14x9-inch Elliptical Solid and the 15-inch Round Open/spoked. Both coils are $495.00 shipped anywhere in the US. We will have them both on our website (www.robsdetectors.com) later this evening or tomorrow. Call us if you're interested in getting one of the first ones as stock is very limited right now. 623.362.1459 Office Line
  7. Hey Auwanderer and all, I have to stick my foot in my mouth, as Chris with Arizona Outback (US Distributor for NF products) just informed me he is sending me a batch of both the new Nugget Finder 14x9 Evolution Solid Elliptical and the new 15-inch Round Spoked Evolution. Here are the pictures. $495.00 Shipped to you within the US I will have them on my site later this evening or tomorrow if you're interested. You can also call us at 623.362.1459
  8. Hey AuWanderer, Just a FYI, the new Nugget Finder 15-inch Round Evolution is not spoked, but solid. The only spoked one right now for this new coil technology is the Coiltek 18-inch Round Elite. Here is the Nugget Finder 15-inch Round Evolution on our site - http://www.robsdetectors.com/nugget-finder-15-evolution-round-mono-searchcoil Here is a list of the new coils - Coiltek 11-inch Solid Round, 14-inch Solid Round, 17-inch Elliptical Solid & 18-inch Spoked Round Nugget Finder 12-inch Solid Round, 15-inch Solid Round & 17x13 Elliptical Solid Hope this helps.
  9. Doc, I got the B&Z boosters now back in stock. Several of them have sold today, but still have a few left. Great boosters for all detectors.
  10. Hey AuWanderer, The Commander series of coils are a great line from Minelab. The are pretty much bullet proof and quiet/stable. The new buzz is on the flat wind coils, such as the Coiltek Elite series and Nugget Finder Evolution. These new technology coils are no question better than the standard Mono or DD's, including the Commander series. That being said, for $60 you got a steal on that coil. It's a $200 coil new. Wishing you much more success with the Commander.
  11. Hey Guys, Uncle Ron - The piece actually took forever to clean, as it was buried in the ancient caliche gravels forever. I let it soak in CLR for a day or so, then ran it in my Ultrasonic with gold cleaner to get it somewhat cleaned. I left the peice just as it was. The piece is now gone, so the new owner can do whatever with it. Fred - Ya, I know. I enjoy it though! Thanks everyone else for the comments. Always nice to find a good specimen or nugget as they are getting much tough to find.
  12. Hello All, I didn't mean to "tease" anyone on this video. I actually shown the piece some time ago I believe on the forums. The video I finally got around to uploading. The prize find was a specimen, which weighted 6.8 ounces. The specific gravity test showed 4.2 - 4.4 ounces of gold. I have found a lot of specimens over the year, nothing this heavy for the size. The moment I recovered the specimens from the crevice, I thought it was solid due to the weight. Here is a shot of the specimen right after we found it and cleaned with water.
  13. Hey Cowkiller, I would only guess that any new GPZ that comes out in the future will have the same platform as the GPZ7000. I think it would be too expensive to change the unit. Look how long they ran the platform on the SD,GP and GPX series, all the same control box and look. I personally think the SD,GP or GPX series have a better feel for me over the GPZ. I love the GPZ and no questions I will have one when it cools off again.
  14. Hey Guys, Thanks for the comments. Rest of what? I didn't say I'm done digging out that huge crack, did I? ...... LOL That was just on top of the crack.
  15. Hey Guys, I agree on the versatility and better ergonomics for the GPX series. Since I went back to the GPX 5000 for a short time, I have felt the unit is much easier on the body and you do have more options of coils, accessories and such with it over the GPZ for now. Congrats once again on the great hit!
  16. Hello All, I found this piece earlier this Summer season. Wanted to make sure I cleaned out the area pretty good before someone got word of the area. This piece was found at almost 3 foot deep. Took well over an hour to dig out. Found with a Minelab GPZ 7000 metal detector.
  17. Hello All, Since it's Summer and things have slowed down a bit, I have a handful of used items I would like to move. Right now as far as metal detectors, I have the following great deals - (2) Used Minelab GPX 5000 Metal Detectors with all stock accessories (both were traded-in units). I have used them both and they work great. I will honor a 30-day warranty, but they might have some warranty left on them. Normal MAP new price is $4000, I'm asking $3000 for each of them. Great deal for a very powerful metal detector. (1) Used Minelab GPX 4500 Metal Detector with all stock accessories (traded in). Comes also with a 15x12 Commander Mono Searchcoil. Normal MAP price new is $2699.00. I'm asking $2000 firm. Contact me by phone at 623.362.1459 or email at - rob@robsdetectors.com

  19. Hey Cowkiller, Thanks. I'm trying to get the upload limit for each member bumped up a bit. For now, you might have to remove some of your older attachments/images from your personal control panel when you are logged into the forums. For anymore that can't find it, it's in the top right hand corner, just click on your username, then a drop down menu will appear, then click "My Attachments." You can delete some of your oldest pictures to make more room for new stuff.
  20. Hey Cowkiller, What an amazing find! Just goes to show it's still out there. Just one small spot like you mentioned can be hiding many ounces of gold. Most of the gold seems fairly water worn, but with the specimen in there I would assume there is a hidden patch where the gold might of been originally coming from. Will be interesting to hear more on this discover as you re-investigate the area. Is your Brother swinging a GPZ 7000 yet?
  21. Hey Guys, Makes you really wonder if you were finding gold and some trash in a gold bearing area or patch, but then heard a signal from a huge nugget shown in this post, would you actually dig it? It would be a massive sized targets, probably several feet across with a Minelab PI. Many years ago I was working a very well known nugget patch and finding some decent nuggets. Majority of them under a 1/4 ounce, but every so often someone would hit a 1+ ouncer in the area. I still remember hitting a target that was a "boomer" just about every day I was in that patch area. After hitting this targets so many times, probably months worth of nuggetshooting, I finally dug it up. It ended up being a 2.2 ounce sold gold nugget at only about 4 inches deep. All those times hitting it prior, I was convinced it was iron rubbish. Now image a huge targets like in this post in this same area?
  22. Hey Uncle Ron, Just a FYI, check your accounts for the refund. I received an email about the refund, but it has yet to post back into my Paypal account. Just a FYI ....
  23. Hey Tortuga, As you might remember, about 3-4 months ago there was a huge demand for the GPZ's as gold was being found in Mauritania, Africa. Like all dealers, customers were calling like crazy to get handfuls of these units to ship overseas. I was down to just my used unit and a customer just had to have it for the right price. I ended up selling it and settled in on a used GPX 5000 I took in for trade around the same time frame. No question, when I get a GPZ back in my hands, I will probably want the new coil. I'm sure by the time it starts cooling off again here in Arizona (mid Oct.) the coil will be available and I will be detecting with a GPZ 7000 once again. I've been doing fair the the GPX 5000 and Elite coil on shallower ground conditions. Most of the ground is exposed bedrock to 12-inch of soil. I know what I'm using now will handle this ground and gold just fine. P.S. The chart that was posted on the GPZ 19-inch coil vs. the 14x13 is impressive. Now it's just a matter of finding the deeper ground that contains enough gold nuggets to justify a $1000+ searchcoil (just my educated guess).
