  1. Hello OffRoadDriver, If you're not satified with the product I will work something out with you. However, give it a chance, as I've never had any problems with interference with this probe. I'm in the process of moving right now, but get with me and we can talk about it. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  2. Hey Guys, DiggerBob - Yep that is those guys. Frenchy is still out in the hills. I hear from him every so often. I think he enjoys camping and prospecting alone, but I have to say he's a great guy to be around. AZNuggetBob - No, that is not Floyd. The guy on the very right is Jim "Frenchy" French." A great friend and spends most of his time in Nevada nuggetshooting. Mark - Ya, I see Bill every so often around Congress, Arizona. I know he still gets out, cause I just seen a nice 1/3 ouncer he found. Looks like the gold from one of your patches on the North side of the hill. I have some pictures of Floyd Allen and Richard Doherty when we hunted together, but they are old 35mm pictures. I will have to dig some out and post them. Take care, Rob Allison
  3. Hello Doc, Sounds like a great system. There are times when long distance customer call and we are on the phone chatting about gold for over an hour. It's normally on my dime and my long distance sometimes is high, much higher than I want. I might have to look into this SKYPE. I will probably call you directly and get more information about it. Thanks, Rob Allison
  4. Hello Jesse, Welcome to the forums! You will find this forum to be very informative and the members are great people. I love to dredge myself, so I'm glad Arizona hasn't gotten a ban yet. With all this water we just received pretty much all the major drainages in Arizona are running. I'm looking forward to dredging some spots once the muddy water calms down. Thanks for the GPX-4500 purchase. You're going to love this detector once you get it. Hope to see you posting more on the forum. Rob Allison
  5. Hey Doc, Very nice looking cart. I'm sure something like that can be used for searching the beaches or hunting for gold or meteorites in open areas. Rob Allison
  6. Hey Bob, The company and employees do the best they can with what they have to work with. During storm season there are a lot of outages, but I don't think many of the customers really know what it takes to get power restored. I think many believe it's as simple as flicking a light switch back on! For the most part Troublemen, Sub Techs and crews work around the clock to restore down lines and equipment during these times. You're working long hours, low visiblity at night, rainy and around primary and secondary voltages. You make one mistage around 120/240 and you can probably laugh about it later, but you make one mistake with primary voltages of 7,200 volts thru 500,000 volts, you won't live long to talk about it. It a serious business where you have be on your game all the time. Some have managed to live a un-peaceful life when they got hit by 7,200, but from about 69kv and up your done. P.S. Don't mistake 480 as a joke, it's one of the worst, maybe even worse than higher voltages since you can't get away from it. Take care, Rob Allison
  7. Hello Montana and AZNuggetBob, I was working SW of Tonopah early this week and all the washes (big and small) were running like they never ran before. Some ran so well they tore out roads and flooded farmlands down that way. I'm sure some nice gold has been uncovered in various Arizona goldfields. Take care, Rob Allison
  8. Hello Jim, Good to hear people were looking at the Rich Hill book. I'm going to be ordering my 3rd and 4th case of them. They are selling very well and many don't even know about them yet. I sold nearly 2 cases as Rich Hill in and around the Stanton Camp. I'm still pondering the idea of the Phoenix GPAA Show. I normally always do this show, but the GPAA has really jacked up the prices on the booths. Last year I spent nearly a grand on booths, but also had a very good display of metal detectors and acessories. This year, all the Minelab metal detectors are on backorder and I heard the crowds were down and not as many paying customers. Pretty hard to sell Minelab detectors with all of them on backorder. The Phoenix show was never a great one for underwater or coin/relic detectors in my opinion. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  9. H ey Lucky, Great shot of the nugget in the mud still. A partner wanted me to go out today, but I knew it was way too muddy for nuggetshooting here in Arizona. Get itchy to find another gold nugget. I will post some of the stuff I've found recently when I get a chance. Hope you find many more. P.S. You received that order right? Rob Allion
  10. Hello All, Ya, the phone line is dead right now. Right after all the storms came through the phone line went dead. I have a tech coming in the early morning to check it out. I'm hoping it will be back on around Sunday afternoon. I still have DSL and Internet and my emails are still working. If you're having something come back to you, please check to make sure you have my right email address. My main business email address is - auplacers@yahoo.com Take care, Rob Allison
  11. Hello All, Since these recent storms our main phone line has been down. I've probably got nearly 100 emails and a handful of PM's about it. I have a tech coming out in the morning to check it out, but it will be down until Sunday mid-morning. Just wanted to give you all an update. Also, we are in the process of moving, so we might not respond to emails and phones calls right away like we have in the past. The moving process sucks! Just wanted to update you all. Rob Allison
  12. Hey OffRoadDriver, Have you tried to adjust the freqs? I use mine all the time with both mine and my partners GPX-4500's and don't get much of any intererence. What metal detector are you using? Talk with you soon, Rob Allison
  13. Hey Mark, Yep, that is "wild bill Davis." I believe that picture was from the mid 90's.
  14. Hello All, Here are some pictures from the Arizona Goldfields back in the day. Just thought you would like to see my ugly butt since I'm in all the pictures. These are all taken back when the Minelab SD2000 and SD2100 were around. AZNuggetBob - Do the tunnels look familiar? I promise I never found a thing in them ... Thought you might enjoy. Rob Allison
  15. Hello All, Personally I've never had any experience with a good GPR metal detector, but was curious if any of you have? I wanting to find out if a GPR can detect or show where there might be openings or tunnels underground? The depth to these tunnels can be anywhere from 5 to 20 foot in depth. Interested in hearing any information that might pertain to something that might locate these openings or tunnels. Thanks in advance, Rob Allison
  16. Hello Dakota, This will be real interesting to see. Last year I purchased a Keene fully loaded 4-inch dredge, but only got to use it a few times. We got it into a great location, but after we got the dredge ready to run a friend of mine rolled his quad off the hill bringing supplies to the dredge site. We only got to dredge for about 15 minutes before we had to pack up and leave due to the injury. The bedrock was really jagged and I seen small flakes of gold and nuggets right when I exposed a small section of bedrock. Can't wait to get back and this rain will do the trick. Take care, Rob Allison
  17. Hey Bob, I didn't get a chance to look at the alluvial fan yet. I will show you some of the spots we are digging this weekend. Will be interesting to get your thoughts once again. The Gold Altas of Rich Hill is selling like hotcakes at Stanton. A good friend of mine is selling them for me there. I think I went though all 50 copies already and have more on the way. Without a doubt it's a great book and will open up a lot of stuff for future areas and testing. Take care, Rob Allison
  18. Hello Beachnut, I agree with Reno Chris since I do the Phoenix GPAA Show every year. I'm always willing to bargain a bit Sunday afternoon vs. Saturday. I hate packing all the stuff back up! If you're interested in something, see what kind of deal you can drive on Sunday with the dealer or vendor. The Lancaster show should be a good one. Take care, Rob Allison
  19. Hey Gary and All, I enabled the PM feature again and some other features that were disabled for a bit. I think the forum is running a bit quicker than before. If you're still experiencing problems, please let me know. You can PM me or post something about it. Thanks, Rob Allison
  20. Hey Chris, Great to hear the book is finally released. Send me over a bunch if you would. Give me a call at 623-362-1459 so we can take care of payment. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  21. Hey DigDeep, Ya, I will be selling them. I just need to get them shipped my way. Let me know if you want one so I can hold one back for you. P.S. I enabled the PM feature again. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  22. Hello Darryl, I've sold a bunch of the DetectorPro Pistol Probes for gold nugget hunting. I would agree, to find small gold nuggets you have to be very close, but I use mine for larger nuggets that I'm worried about damaging with a pick point. Hope this helps, Rob Allison
  23. Hey Grubstake, I disabled several features for a short time. On another note, I took Joe K's suggestion and deleted about 100 Megs worth of large attachments dating back as early as 2004-2005. I'm going to delete some other stuff hoping it helps speed things up. I noticed just be deleting some of the attachments that the forum loads faster for me. Talk with you later, Rob Allison
  24. Hey Joe, Any suggestions on why my forum might be running slower? Once the upgrade was performed it seemed a bit slower, but I would assume that is cause the forum has more too it. Invision Boards stated I have a huge database, which also means it takes longer to load. Today I disabled some features to help the performance, but I believe this also disabled the Private Message feature. Thanks for any help in advance. Rob Allison
  25. Hello All, Thanks for letting me know about the slow forum. On my end it back and forth, sometimes slow and other times very fast. My Host states it has to do with the amount of traffic visiting the forum at peak times. I have disabled some features temp. to see if this helps. Please let me know if the forum seems to load a bit faster now. Thanks, Rob Allison
